SGL, I meant to say - and your last post reminded me - Nana in a plant's name means 'little' so when you asked Busy if there was room for a little one I smiled. That little potentilla is a bee magnet too. I bet the poppets would be pleased to know that 'Nanna' had a plant named after her.

  • Lily it will be lovely having the poppets round to see you both enjoy your tea.  Hazel I can see there’s quite a lot to organise to visit mum.  I hope she’d like a drive out, or if not, if warm enough, sitting in the garden.  LB the trough looks great.  I hope young toad found a special place after being relocated.  Didn’t find the watch, will look again tomorrow.  It was one I had quite some years ago.  Chive bright sunshine this afternoon.  I think may be a cooler day tomorrow.  Busy the menu sounds lovely.  I had red Thai chicken with fragrant rice, no pud, time for a cup of tea.  Quite cool now indoors, briefly put the heater on to change.

RosieBB, I was sorry to hear about your favourite watch. They do become a part of a routine don't they? When mine is on charge I cannot tell you how many times I look at my wrist to find out what time it is!
Hazel, Winky Woo is going to be an absolute picture when all of those buds open.

@Busy-Lizzie - that menu sounds delicious. I've just had a risotto with both crab and prawns - big seafood fan here😋

LB - your trough looks good - I do like alpines. I have a trough which needs planting up🤔
Thought we might get a little rain tomorrow but that seems to have disappeared from the forecast. Noticed huge cracks in the unimproved areas of soil while I was planting the 2 clematis. The hole for one was nice and easy to dig (regularly cultivated and mulched area) the other nearly needed a mattock to get through the concrete - very hard going. Not sure if the poor plant stands a chance there really - but we'll see. The DA roses planted a few weeks ago are looking very fit and healthy so obviously getting some things right...

@Ladybird4 I didn't know that,  😊 Poppets will like it if I can get a plant called Nanna 😉
Aww, @Songbird-1 the Winky Woo plant is beautiful. It's grown so much. It's going to look stunning when in full flower. Thank you, can't wait to see them all.

    Night night everyone, sleep well

Good morning all.  Hazel thank you for the pic of winky woo looking lovely.  I’ve poached eggs on toast for breakfast and some tea, seem to have been carried away with the eggs at sm  All dressed, Alfie’s had a good night.  Chive I hope mums rested and you with Nel close by.  LB chilly this morning.  I hope you and Lily had a restful night.  Top bird I can relate to the mattock reference.

White rabbits, white rabbits RosieBB and all to arrive soon. Its hard to believe that we are in the 5th month of the year already.
RosieBB, I'm glad that Alfie had a good night. I've put my heat on for a boost too as its definitely chilly.
Hazel, I noticed it was raining last night - just rubbing my nose in it as I had spent a fair bit of time watering yesterday. It is still raining now.
T'Bird, it will be interesting to make the comparison between the two clematis on your return. Handy brother planted out his 'Just Joey' rose but said that the soil in his garden seemed unforgiving and I think he could probably have done with a mattock!
