Lovely collection of Alpines LB, glad Jack was ok that must have been a worrying call for you to receive,Â
Bluebells I hope Alfie leaves the curtain alone now youâve sprayed it, glad youâve had a chance to rest today. Yes Son is on a two year course as a trainee engineer and attends college one week each month, heâs nearly at the half way point.Â
SGL Glad everything arrived in your delivery, hope you have another good sleep tonight, Hazel I hope youâre rested after your day in the garden, Ante Good luck with all that you need to do at the cottage tomorrow, hope the weather stays fine, Goodnight everyone, hope you all sleep well.Â
Bank Holiday weekend and I'm sure there are lots of plans afoot.
I forgot to say yesterday that the electrical works that are presently underway at the corner of the road are traffic light controlled at either end of the Cres. This means that leaving the Cres is a bit of a scary moment as, unless you know which way is stopped, you have no idea whether it is safe or not to venture forth. This is not the first time that this has happened over the years but it is very annoying. They must think that as there are only 6 houses in the Cres. we don't warrant an extra set of traffic lights until the job is finished. I will be interested to see if the engineers are going to continue working this weekend. Somehow, I think not. Sorry for the grump!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning Ante. Yes, its a nice morning here too. Still a bit cool but it should get better later. I am going to take that picture of the plants for SGL soon and then decide about where the plants are going to go. I have one trough I am going to put 3/4 plants in. I'll be able to see how many once the trough is prepared.

Morning everyone. Didn't see your post last night @Ladybird4 when I said goodnight. Thank you, very kind. Had a good nights sleep again. The sun was shining when I got up just after 7, but it's already disappeared behind some big grey clouds. Ante enjoy your day at your cottage. How is your Dad, hope feeling better day by day. Hope Max is better now too. Will have another cup of tea â and then get a few indoor jobs done đ€« Have a lovely day everyone.
Morning all .Take care with those traffic lights Lb.Ante enjoy your time at the cottage ,take plenty of breaks .Donât want you to be exhausted after your days work .I could just do with that cuppa Lily . Kettle is going on. Have a lovely day folks .
Morning all. Iâve been for an early shop at sm luckily they had one packet left of Alfieâs favourite food. Â LB take care travelling through the crescent. Â You probably wonât see work until Monday morning. Â Ante donât work too hard at the cottage. Â Top bird I do hope you get rain, itâs forecast here today but sunny out although a chilly morning and I wore boots and winter scarf you tend to feel the cold early. Â Chive gosh time passes quickly doesnât it. Â A good career path for your son ahead. Â Lily I woke at 3am and have had quite a few cups of tea. Â Apparently you can get watch batteries replaced at the cobblers. Â Unfortunately watch strapped snapped am with very little pressure cannot replace as part metal also. Â Will pop to mum and see if I can find an old watch of mine to take to the cobblers for a replacement battery. Â No bananas in sm and very little fruit overall. Â Enjoy your day.
Good Morning LB, Ante, SGL, Bluebells, Rubee & Hazel and all to follow, LB Those traffic lights must be such a nuisance for you, hope they wonât be around for too long. Have a nice time planning on homes for the new plants, itâs a lovely selection, Ante Pleased you have a sunny start today hope you get all you need done at the cottage, good to hear both your dad and Max are doing well, Bluebells He is making good progress thank you, I donât know where that time goes to. The cobblers may be able to change the strap on your watch for you as well as the battery, itâs worth taking it with you to ask if itâs one that you like to wear.Â
SGL Pleased you slept well, hope your day brightens up. Will you be seeing your poppets this bank holiday? Rubee Hope your OH is getting on well with the new antibiotics, have a good day, Hazel Sounds like you need to take things easy, hope OH can complete the arbour without needing too much assistance. Mum is doing ok thank you, we are still waiting on the appointment for the scan. Painkillers are helping the discomfort and she just needs to avoid putting her weight on it too much, hope all is well with your family.

LB, sorry to hear about electrical works in your street. Hope it will be soon over, but I also doubt that they will work over whole weekend.
I'll go to the cottage around 9am. It's sunny and calm morning, and if stays like this, I hope to finish few things. Now is, ofcourse, time for tea.
Have a lovely day.
