Good morning everyone. Poached eggs on toast sounds lovely Rosie .LB if your garden is anything like mine the watering plus the rain will be good on the very dry soil .
  • LB I’ve just popped out to take meter readings, needed a magnifying glass as casing quite dusty or is it just me, rather damp out.  Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone, Looks rather chilly outside this morning. Sky is rather grey. Our garden is really dry, even though I've watered it.
Poached eggs for breakfast sound lovely Rosie.
Need a cup of tea ☕

    Morning all,

Damp here as well. Much needed it is too.

Thanks @bluebellsintherain - a reminder to take the meter readings so I can continue to be massively overcharged :o

Morning @Biglad are you on Raaaf duties over the Bank Holiday

We did our meter reading last night, our fixed tariff ended yesterday. I wonder what will happen now 😱
  • I’ve taken my vacuum box to the local collection point, not a soul around, keep tripping over it.  I’ve quite a range of attachments to play with, a few quite different to the usuals.  LB lucky you having indoor meters.  Lily and Biglad let’s hope we get some more rain before next week when it’s set to warm up.  LB I hope handy brother will feel rather contented in his new home.

No raaf for me folks - my season is over. I'll have to wait a few months for the torrent of abuse to start again (unless you count the OH, of course :D)

    Morning all.

I woke at 6am for the loo and the Dawn Chorus was in full swing, including dratted Cockerel who was sitting on the fence. I clapped my hands and he flew off and left me in peace, so went back to sleep until nearly 8.

Church today in the church down the road, there is a monthly service there. It's easy walking distance but will take the car as it's too much for OH. When we were first together, 12 years ago, a 2 or 3 hour walk was an easy thing for him. It's so frustrating waiting for an operation date, been nearly 3 years.

Cloudy today, forecast says we may get a little rain on Wednesday.

I keep getting messages from the burglar alarm company to say there is a power cut at my French house, followed by emails to say the power is on. Nice electrician has just sent an email to say they have been doing the rewiring for the last 2 days, just one day's work left.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
