You weren't a devotee of grunge or baggy music then @star gaze lily ;)

I'm (well I think I am!) done for the working week so just waiting on the BG and garden drainage chaps to arrive this afternoon. Hoping they both come sooner rather than later so that I can get on with something else, but we all know how these things turn out :(

My son was in a band called
72% Tomato … think they got the name from a ketchup label … teens eh? 😂

I thought about hanging the washing out in the garden ... I didn't think about it for long 🧺

Afternoon All, a real mixed weather today and all of it cold 🥶
SGL Sorry to see you didn’t get to sleep easily, but you’ve come up with some great answers for the foodie quiz 😀
Hazel Hope you’re not needing to venture anywhere today, your slow cooked lamb sounds a delicious meal for a wintry day,
Busy Nice of the garage to loan you a car, hope your service and tyre change all goes well,
Biglad I hope you’re not kept waiting all day for these chaps to arrive,
Dove A sensible move with the washing, though it is nice and blowy out 😁
I think there was a band called blancmange 🤔
    Have a nice afternoon everyone.

I've had multiple texts saying that the BG engineer is 'on schedule'. That's not much help if I don't know what their schedule is :D

Landscaper guy has been. He's going to give me a quote for putting some drainage under the back garden. Feels like progress :)

I've risked some pegging out - it's crackin' flags 'ere :D

Hello everybody. Sorry for absence... I am now so behind with your news!
But I'm loving the food connection of bands- lord knows why but Captain Beefheart came to my strange mind! Does that count?
It's very cold here, but have put out washing today simply to get it blowing in fresh air- I don't like it hanging about the house.
    Have a good evening folks!
  • LB there was a frost and residual snow am but it’s been a sunny afternoon.  Chive I had a sleep this morning as quite missed out overnight. Lily yes I think there was a group with sprout in their name.  Hazel I do hope your daughter is feeling better.  We do worry about family and friends health.   Debs once set up it will be good to get the greenhouse you’ll be right at home. I hope money is soon sorted.  Chive I hope the little people are doing well.  I’m having some tea and wrapped in my cape.  Postal voting card arrived today.  I hope you’ve all had a good day.  Busy I hope all goes well with your car.  Big lad hope you won’t have too long a wait.  Lily hope your better rested tonight.  I used to like the Cranberries.

Afternoon all. Meal was great - though it defeated me. I could not finish it I was so full. The quiz went down very well. Loads of answers I have to check the results to see they are all correct. Most were known by everyone but some obscure ones were mentioned - might have been made up.
Biglad, I know of Pearl Jam but not the Soup Dragons.
Janet - not strange at all. I had a vinyl copy of Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica in my collection.
Hazel, I bet that your slow cooked lamb and veg was as delicious as it sounds.
Biglad, I hope the quote for the drainage is acceptable and that BG have finally arrived.
SGL I think you were ace at that little bit of quizzy fun.
Chive, you are right, there is a group called Blancmange.
