I think an interesting question to Val would be '...where can DG work that isn't a problem to someone?...'.
So far I've only seen one person step up to defend his character, and that was someone on a radio phone in who said he thought he'd been good at his previous club. No remorse, no apology or explanation and no one that wants to associate with him personally isn't painting a good picture.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

If he never did anything, why should he show remorse or apologise?

Isn't Boris a known liar and adulterer - and he's PM - so who judges who on character? And I won't even go near Blair and WoMD and how many people died because of that.
What level of crime do you have to have committed to be unemployable?

I totally follow Val's personal view, but I also totally follow the view that no-one should be unemployable because of previous crimes.

No he wasn't. He never stood trial.
He was sued for money in a civil court.

No, not necessarily in their chosen profession, but surely they must still be employable somewhere? (Even those police).
But as I asked before, where then would DG be welcomed? Would you want him sitting next to you in an office? Serving you in a pub...shop? Alone with him in your house as a plumber or tradesman? Ditto for those policemen - where would you think they can work without upsetting someone?
If you take the Val '...he can't work here ...' route, where can he/they work? Isn't that then creating an underclass - and then I repeat as well - where then is the line - fraud?...GBH?..murder?...sex offences?...adultery?...drug peddling?.....

I think you can cross adultery off that list steveTu, it isn't a crime in the eyes of the law as far as I'm aware.

    With no jury.
If you believe in no jury trials, then be happy to accept verdicts you may not like.

sex offences bar those criminally convicted from specific jobs already. I don't believe footballer is one of those.
