I saw that Pansyface - it does make you wonder, after all that time, what evidence there was to prosecute him. And if that case was prosecutable, why DG's wasn't.

@Balgay.Hill I may be wrong as I am not medically trained but I don’t think a woman can rape a man ? Obviously a man can rape another man. I also was of the opinion that a man too drunk to remember a woman being in bed with him would be incapable?

The individual who was responsible for killing my mother in a RTA received a sentence 12 weeks fewer than Lord Ahmed :(

His legal representatives even managed to get the number of points that were going to be added to his licence reduced so that he wouldn't lose it!

Fairly understandably, I have very little faith in every aspect of the justice system!

Why can't a woman rape a man? Are you saying that sexual readiness implies consent?

yes I suppose I am but as I say I am not a medical expert. I don’t wish to be too graphic but I have always assumed that the production and maintenance of an erection essential for intercourse was the result of sexual desire? Fear and unhappiness would surely deflate the erection to the point where intercourse would be impossible. The same is not true of a female. It’s possible to have intercourse with a female who is terrified or asleep or even dead.

Blinky blimey Debs. So if a women is aroused, she's consenting to sex - is that what you're saying? I'll stop now as this leaves even me speechless.

No I only meant that if a man changes his mind at any point or never wanted sex in the first place then surely the process would be impossible whereas that isn’t the case with a woman. It’s a purely physical difference. I never said that being aroused meant sex was wanted only that being aroused was essential for men. Maybe I am wrong I can only speak about my own experiences.

Oh dear, @debs64, you're not saying that pain, fear, anger  revulsion and resentment are a bit of a turn-off, are you? According to the Met, we can't get enough of it.

My son in law is a police officer and he is the gentlest and most respectful of men. A wonderful father and a kind loving husband. He, like most of his colleagues, is disgusted by the behaviour of fellow officers.
The damage done by men like those policemen and that footballer is truly terrible for those victims and also for men I know who, like most men, are decent honourable human beings. I don’t know what the answer is.
I don’t watch football but I don’t think a convicted rapist should be working in a high profile position.

But he was never convicted. It never even went to trial.
He was sued for damages in a civil court with no jury.
