I’ve put our middleweight duvet on the bed today @Hostafan1 … I think summer might be over … but the beans are still producing and the toms are still ripening outside …

After two nights in low single figures, I put the 7.5tog duvet on the bed last night. Woke to 10C and feeling a little warm! Lovely day here, shirtsleeve weather again. I’d better put up with the hot duvet to ensure the temperature doesn’t drop again!
That’s my thought @Ergates … changing to a thicker duvet guarantees a heatwave.
As you’re in the southwest we’d be very grateful if you’d pop a thicker duvet and possibly a couple of fleecy blankets on your bed in about a week’s time 🙏

I’ll do my best, Dove! 7.5 tog is the warmest I can tolerate, Hostafan. OH is forever accusing me of being a furnace, so he never complains about being cold at night! Hope you are managing to have a good time, and keeping a positive mindset? I find not looking in mirrors a great help! Tidy myself up in the morning as best I can, not too bad. Then somehow during the day, I start to forget what I look like now, and think I look as I feel ( about 45 ) and behave accordingly. Tend to get treated as if I’m 45 as a result! Always a shock to look in the mirror at night, make up rubbed off on one side of my face and smudged on the other, and hair looking like I’ve been pulled backwards through the proverbial hedge! If I’d seen that during the day, I’d have acted differently and no doubt been responded to differently. So ignore the false signals that you are old, fat and ugly, and just let your real, and, I’m sure, charming, self shine through. You may be pleasantly surprised at the reaction.
Great news @Lizzie27. There are quite a few new "hipsters" there when I go to physio, quietly doing their exercises. One chap had both done at once.
Bright and sunny and mid 20s in the pms here but clear skies mean it's getting colder at night. We are still on just a duvet cover here but do have a simple quilt to pull up if needed. Never more than a 4.5 tog duvet and the handy quilt if needed in winter.
