It's raining. Only a drizzle now but obviously a fair amount during the night. By heck that'll freshen things up.
Sod's Law though that I'm off to Elizabeth Magreggors garden and nursery in Kircudbright and then to NTS Broughton House garden in the town. Still, it might brighten up later.

@uff, do enjoy your day out in Kirkcudbright and Broughton Gardens, it's such a pretty place and the nursery/gardens are very good. We stayed there several years ago and liked it very much.
I bought Elizabeth McGregors introduction of Anemone 'Wild Swan', took a while to get established but is looking good now as long as I keep it well watered.

I did enjoy my day out thank you Lizzie27. I bought Regal Swan last year.
I spent more than I should but I'm worth it. Amongst other things I bought 3 Navy Blue agapanthus, 3 Thalictrum Chantilly Lace, and 3 viola Vanessa. All gorgeous and the icing on the cake was her superb garden. She really inspires me. Lunch at the Art Centre and then to Broughton House garden. A beautiful cottage style garden with a nice veg garden. I love it and highly recommend it.

As @Dovefromabove said, now I know why there are none round here.  We get the occasional Dunnock haven't seen a real sparrow in years.
