Likewise, we were invited by a neighbour for lunch and drinks today but I declined as there would be people crammed together  and what with covid and flu circulating, she is the one who hasn't had vaccinations. I have two hospital appointments in the next ten days and don't want to miss them. Such a relief not to go.
  • Spending Christmas Day here with just my lovely quiet OH...  my idea of bliss.   :)

Happy Christmas everyone, whether introvert or gregarious!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Totally introvert.
The "other" mother-in-law is recovering from a hip replacement so cannot travel, my ex is in hospital with a broken arm so no best behavior, tongue biting, or fixed smiles!
Just a very relaxed meal with my daughter and son-in-law.
A Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year to everyone!

We are off to my wife's sister and niece, plus partners, for Christmas dinner.  To be honest, I'd be just as happy staying at home with my feet up, but it tends to be a good day.

It’s just me, my wife, the cat and the vicar … Peter Greenaway could make a film about that. Happy Christmas everyone.

Happy Christmas to all! I’ve just put the turkey crown in the oven. Just OH and me. Daughter and SIL will rent a car next week and come for four days over New Year instead. Food is sufficiently flexible that I can recreate a second Christmas dinner next weekend, (I’d bought another turkey crown to freeze for New Year.) Son, DIL and kids due on the 27th, not sure if they will now defer until daughter is here. However, all safe and well, no problems with water supplies or heating, so I’m counting myself lucky! Hope all have a happy and relaxing day and can put your worries aside for a while. Much love to Hostafan if you are looking in.

Me my husband my daughter and no cooker.
Combi microwave fan oven never used before apart from a dry run last week and air fryer totally unfamiliar with
Dinner took a good hour longer than expected . They were both very polite .  It didn't taste awful. RTBC  I don't think I poisoned anyone..  Looking forward to port and stilton. Can't bggger that up.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Lovely quiet relaxing day here, just me, my OH and my daughter. Lunch was very good, I didn't forget anything nor overcooked anything - success!!!
