Chappy has been to fix our CH system - 2 radiators not working - and now we know to fix and avoid air blocks. It's 14C outside so much more comfy already than the previous 2 weeks of clear skies and glacial temperatures.
It's raining heavily and blowing a hoolie but that's OK as the garden needs it and we're all tucked up and cosy with all the shopping done. Just have to make some mincemeat this pm and roll the home-made chocolate truffles.

Ooh, home made chocolate truffles! That’s a reason to be cheerful! I’m just wondering whether to try making a tiramisu. I wonder if sherry would work as the alcoholic ingredient?
It's probably wrong to be cheerful about this, but a social engagement next week has been cancelled and as I wasn't looking forward to it at all and it was causing quite a lot of stress, I am suddenly very relaxed 🙂

I finally finished the last of the decoartions today except for going out to the "cave" for a couple of candles. Neighbours greeted. Their big feast is this evening. Our festive Xmas Eve fish pie cooked and eaten. Possum's macarons for dessert.
Mincemeat made and bread proving so we're all set for feasting tomorrow.
Merry Christmas everyone.

I'll echo that too - Merry Christmas to one and all Don't worry about that at all @LG_. I've spent a very large part of my life 'pretending' to be like other people, even though I knew I wasn't. I generally find all social occasions horrific, and I now avoid everything, and I also don't care who knows it. Enjoy being relaxed, and enjoy your Christmas
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
