    Some of you will remember that in the chaos of the US/UK withdrawal from Kabul in August, my son’s neighbour D was desperately trying to get his parents and sisters out of Afghanistan as his father had worked with the UK officials to prevent a terrorist bombing in a marketplace. Although they got the papers it was too late to get out and they went into hiding as they were being hunted … bit by bit they’ve made their way secretly across the country westward and D has just heard that they are safe in Iran. They hope to remain there quietly until the war in Ukraine is over before setting out to travel across Europe to join D … hopefully the UK government will honour their paperwork 🤞

    3rd party's insurers have settled my claim in full.
    Funny how the prospect of legal action gets a reaction.
