When we have so many MP's who are total charlatans, it is very sad to see the death of Jack Dromey, a man who worked tirelessly for social justice.

Good morning everyone. Blue skies and white clouds here today, for a change, although the prediction is for rain and storms later.  I won’t be doing any washing though. Maybe tomorrow.

You’ve had interesting things to write about in the last several pages. I’ve enjoyed reading your experiences.  Hope those owed money have some luck.

We’ve been notified on line that we were in Woolworths on 4th and to be aware that someone there had the virus. Not sure how long we have to keep tabs on it, but I assume that if we get sick, we can show the message to authorities to get seen without too much delay. 😳.

Funny how these trying times affect some people. We’ve had phone calls from two of Hubby’s cousins (Victoria and northern NSW), and I had one from a work colleague from Monash University when we both worked there.  I suppose they have time to think back.😁. Nice to catch up though.

@Liriodendron - my OH is brilliant at painting and we desperately need do the living room and dining room again but the thought of moving all the stuff around to do it fills us with dismay.
@Pat E.  I heard that some football clubs aren't even testing so they can get their games in.  Hospital admissions going up, deaths going up, hospital staff off sick and still it's all - yes this is worrying but crack on with what you were doing.

  • Morning all,

    Big sky there @Pat E

Very excited to see it has been snowing in the ski resort we are visiting in 4 weeks (today) and are off to get Charlie a ski jacket this morning, having not been for 2 years all is old gear is at least two sizes too small. Luckily, it fits his younger friend who is coming with us so at least it's been put to good use.

Beginning to feel the benefits of Dry January, been up very early, mopped right through the downstairs, feeling very energised, I think I might stick with it a bit longer than January, maybe try to cut back to just the weekends, astonishing how one early evening apero leads to a glass or two more, just a habit really in the end. It will help with the marathon training too. :)

Have a good day all, hope all the Covid tests come out negative.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
we’ve slept in 🥱. OH didn’t set his alarm as he has a late start this morning.
Yes @punkdoc JD’s death is a sad shock.
Love that picture @Pat E … hope you didn’t pick up the virus … isolating for a few days won’t make much difference to you as you hardly go anywhere do you? 😉 As long as your OH doesn’t have any medical appointments.

Hi Dove and DD. We should be ok I think. We both have Dr appointments on Wednesday, so we will monitor how we feel until then.

It made the news (on BBC Radio 4 at least!) last week I think, as the app/web site owner runs it for 'free' without ads. It's a simple game like Mastermind (the coloured peg game from the 70's/80s) where you try to guess a 5 letter word by entering words - and each letter in your entered word is then graded into right letter right place, right letter wrong place, or wrong letter. The web site is https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/ (other word games are available).
