I'm glad he's content @Hostafan1 ... presumably pain medication is keeping him much more comfortable and lifting his mood ... that makes things easier for you. Hugs.
Like several folk on here I'm part of the Zoe Covid Study ... apparently my throat has triggered a need for me to have a PCR and antibody test ... (OH as well). We've filled in the form to order a home testing kit which should arrive in a couple of days.

That is great news @Hostafan1. Is Hubby no longer bedridden? It all sounded so bad before Christmas.
It's all very srange. He's up and about now. He goes into the day room one and off all day and asks for food . Bless'im. It certainly makes saying " goodbye " easier every day when he appears so content.
Hosta, I can’t say how happy I am to read that! Lovely!
Tui, Regina is a person in our village who used to visit often and generally be hard to get rid of. When Hubby got diagnosed with Prostrate cancer and had various medications and treatments etc and also Covid arrived, I used that as an excuse to keep her away and give us a break. I used to complain about her interminable visits on here regularly and that’s why Dove and Obelixx remembered who I was talking about. 🙄😁. It seems that since we are all vaccinated now, she’s decided that she can begin dropping in unannounced again. Der! I haven’t decided my next step yet. 🤭
Really good news @Hostafan1, makes that awfully long journey all the more worthwhile. As @Allotment Boy says, the human body is amazing. Still making happy memories for you too.

Agree @Pat E - your hubby is still vulnerable and you are both old enough not to want to risk even a minor infection which you can still get if vaccinated so tell her firmly "No. Keep away. You're isolating for the foreseeable".
The chooks are fine thanks @Pat E but did not enjoy the cold so lots of time spent fossicking in the polytunnel and dust bathing or else snuggled up on the compost heap at the back of the polytunnel - when they weren't getting into the cabbage and Swiss chard patches! Scruffy has recovered from her tummy bag and she and Fluffy have both grown a complete new set of feathers and are now very handsome hens.
Very good news @Hostafan1. Lovely to get a hug like that.
Points 1 to 5 are spot on @punkdoc. Don't care about wrinkles but I can do without the arthritic bits. I don't think we'll ever be short of wine.

I’ve decided to firmly tell her that she is not to visit us because we are still vulnerable for both reasons of cancer treatment and age (in my case). It might work.
