Good to hear from you, @punkdoc
Hugs to all suffering from aches and pains, low spirits and then rest of it. Spring seems a long way away, but hopefully will get here eventually.
  • So glad to hear you're beginning to pick up @punkdoc, as you know I always think getting out into the sun and fresh air, is one of the best tonics if you can manage it.
DD, any persistent pain can be very wearing.  Hopefully you ski trip will help.

Great to see you @punkdoc 😀😀😀.  Glad you managed some time outside.

Enjoy the opera @didyw - take your hankies with you.

Hope the neck eases as the day goes on @D0rdogne_Damsel.  And great news you are negative @Busy-Lizzie 👍🏻

We are now all packed and ready to go.  Thank goodness - I find packing very stressful - it’s the only thing I have recurring nightmares about - the taxi’s at the door and I’m still throwing random items in a suitcase as I drag it down the stairs.  Mr C says it says something about my sheltered life that it’s the only thing I can dream up to have nightmares about.

Lots of instructions being left with the Chicklets - who are house sitting.  One of them is giving us a lift to the airport early tomorrow. The tables are turning 😀.

Have been recommended a garden to visit there too - if it’s nice I’ll send you all a postcard 🌿🍀🌺

Warmer but wetter here today. Really had to drag myself out for my daily walk to papershop but this afternoon's very relaxing pedicure was lovely - got bright pink tootsies now to cheer me up.
    Have a wonderful holiday @chicky.
Good to hear from you Punkdoc.
Glad to hear your covid test was negative @Busy-Lizzie but your poor unfortunate son with 5 children to look after, no wonder he's tired! I'd be on my knees.
Hope the neck ache has eased DD, have you a wheat bag or hot water bottle to hand? Very handy to wrap around your neck if it's tight. I find a monthly back/shoulder massage very beneficial, could you try that? Not sure if there beauty salons in your area.
Enjoy your night out @didyw, not my cup of tea as totally unmusical but at the moment any event out is joyful.
Getting ready to fling out my masks on the dot of next Thursday, can't wait. Hurray!

I hope you have a wonderful time @chicky.

I cut out and pinned fabric and lining for a curtain for my bedroom and the sewing machine has packed up. I haven't used it since my move here. I found an ad for a lady who repairs them on a website for ex-pats in north Dordogne and she lives in my local town. I rang her, she sounds nice, maybe South African, and I'll take the machine to her in a couple of days.

Hopefully, plumber is coming tomorrow to remove the horrid old leaky shower and install a corner bath in its place. I've been waiting for months for him.

Fingers crossed for both repairs @Busy-Lizzie. No word about OH's op yet? I did wonder if he's fallen through the cracks, is it worth writing to his consultant to see what's going on?

His consultant is keen to do the op, @Lizzie27, but the anaesthetic wants heart and lungs investigated. OH's heart is fine, his angiogram scan was OK, now he is waiting for lung tests in February. Every time a test is OK they give him an appointment for something else. Maddening.

Why does it start a new line every time I type @? Doesn't do that for other people.

It sometimes happens to me and someone else was talking about the same glitch the other day. It’s one of those ones that seems to come and go if it’s own volition. I’m ignoring it … it’s attention-seeking behaviour. 🙄 😂
