A little pause for elevensis for me, it's my day off. Slow cooker on with beef, all sorts of veggies and a bottle of beer in it. Beds stripped and in the washing machine, duster coming out shortly. I am also soaking some dried fruit because I am going to make a batch on individual birthday cakes to sell at CdeG. The little Christmas ones went well and I see no reason why birthday ones wouldn't also go well. Cheap and cheerful present for ladies that have everything.
Beautiful sunny day here too, not a cloud in the sky, driving Charlie to school was a bit tricky though, blinded by the sun on several parts of the road. Not complaining, I'd rather see sun than anything else.
Our dogs don't knowingly eat carrots or any other veg apart from grass!
Bright and sunny here but cold - only 2C now so everything in the sun is glistening and everything else is still frosty. Not likely to get much warmer and it's very squelchy under foot so no gardening for me tho I'd like to get out an do some pruning - crown to lift on a big conifer we can then use for seats in the shade later on and buddleias to sort out, one to take cuttings and one to move.
I'll need OH for that but he's gone off to practise golf after getting stir crazy in all the recent rain. Pleased you've had some rain @Pat E.
@chicky we went to Barbados 39 years ago on rugby club tour - the only one where wives and girlfriends were welcome and all because the club secretary was keen on deep sea fishing. We enjoyed it immensely. Rugby was played on the cricket ground which was in the middle of the race course.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
