    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Just waking up here … 🥱
It looks jolly chilly out there … a white frost on everything.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Dry,  bright, cold  start here too, but interestingly the water out for the birds is not frozen, maybe it's thawed already.  No volunteering for me this week,  might start again next week.
    Have a good day all.

    Good morning Forkers!

Bright, sunny and windy to sweep away the clouds!!  Cooler.

    I haven't done it yet @Chicky and @Desi_in_London !!

I have been out in the garden, foraging for some vegetables to make a vegetable chow mein for lunch.

Better expression for today:  A la Saint-Gerlac le temps froid et serein.  L'année sera bonne et fertile, c'est certain.  Yaaay!!

My plumber (mon plombier - see Plunger thread!) is due to come this morning, thus I am hostage.

    Enjoy your day.

  • Hi all - Very cold and frosty here this morning. Coffee consumed and 2nd on the way...
You are right - I did have a new shed/greenhouse combo built and i'm putting it to good use.
I have got some sweet peas, penstemon cuttings, fuschia cuttings, buddleia cuttings and salvia cuttings all thriving as well as some larkspur, campanula, annual lupins and ammi majus going bonkers!! (Lupins and ammi majus below!)

Looks like i might actually be able to get out for a walk at lunchtime as the sun is shining finally. May have to get the big coat out but will soon warm up with a bit of a stomp!!

    Dolce far niente....

Haha, my Hubby would say I'm NEVER quiet!!! I'm suffering from acute shock after seeing "The naked Rambler", whilst having my breakfast smoothy. How lovely of you to ask after me. Very good thank you. Got stuff in the greenhouse to check, pot on, water, potted up a pot of Hellibores, which I've put on the conservatory steps, will move them into the shade later in the year.Just got the papers, and "beautifying myself" ready for Wednesday coffee, Lewes today.

    Good morning all.
It was cold and frosty here too this morning, but it's sunny.

I've cut my hair this morning, not so easy here as in Norfolk or my last house as can't have mirrors in the wardrobe doors as they slide. Hope it's OK.

Just had an email from the plumber, he's had Covid and is still off work. He was supposed to remove the horrid old shower next week and fit the new corner bath. I'm sorry for him, being ill, but I ordered this bath last spring and there is always a reason that it's put off. Some of the time I've been away but I told him when and those are always the dates he can manage, but not when I'm here. My plumber is English, the builder recommended him and he is also an electrician and has French training. I had him to do the utility room conversion.
