@raisingirl Very pleased that Jenny is home and hope she does well and that you get to share more love and cuddles for a while. Helps to have good vets. Our dogs have two vets too - one for routine jabs and so on and t'other for the arthritis plant based meds and osteopathy and a couple of years ago Bonzo had to go to a 3rd in La Rochelle to have his cruciate ligament repaired and a new knee while he was on.
Lovely present @Hostafan1. My engagement ring is emerald but I do love sapphires and other blue stones. Finding new socks has to be good too.
Busy day at patch club with all except one lady having a go at Japanese Boro and enjoying it. Mosaic was good too and I have finally finished my "Hen that lays the Golden egg". We have a theme of The Fables of Jean de la Fontaine who nicked most of his ideas from Aesop and so the goose became a hen. I've already done the Fox and the Crow and the next one is the Acorn and the Pumpkin. After that, something completely different.
It's been wet here most of the day with a mix of drizzle and proper rain. We do need the rain as water levels are still low in all the lakes and reservoirs but let's hope we all get a few sunny days to cheer us up.

I love sapphires and rubies @Hostafan1 and I like amethysts on other people but I'm not a purple person. If anyone is considering anything for me it has to be emeralds. Back in the days when I was making jewellery to sell I was asked to make loads of emerald bracelets, teeny tiny emerald beads simply strung with a simple gold clasp for a guy (for himself, friends, girlfriend...) who was researching and writing a book on emeralds. The publishers sent me a copy of the book - it is fantastic - a huge thing with an emerald silk cover. But it became more and more difficult - and costly - to source the emeralds and I never did buy a string for myself.
Goodness so many posts to read and I cant remember half of them so please forgive me. Do remember reading about Charlie's mock exams, glad to hear that he survived the first day. I'm sure he will do well @Dordogne_Damsel as he is such a confident and intelligent young lad from what I have seen. So pleased to also read that @Raisingirl's little Jenny is home again, I hope you will get many more happy days with her. We had the same with our elderly JR last August - old age, dementia 24 hour care and attention from us. Off to the vets on the Saturday morning to get her checked over again, vets opinion was that she was very near the end of her days but suggested that we went home for the weekend (beautiful weather due) and return again Monday or Tuesday when we were ready. Had a really wonderful weekend and went back on the Monday - they came out to the car instead of taking her away from us. She is buried with our other furry friends in a special garden area. Really grey day here with us, more like fog or a thick mist covering everything, hope it will be better tomorrow.
Morning all. Just drinking my early morning cuppa and mooching around on here. Poked my head out the back door earlier and it seems that we still have a misty murk hanging around. Weather forecast states that it will clear later so feeling hopeful. Hope you all have a good and easy Tuesday.
Yes AnnaB, it’s rained this morning but since then it’s just cloudy and cool. Nearly time for dinner here. It sure what we’ll have, but I’m trying to encourage Hubby (who does most of the meals), to make some inroads on freezer supplies. 😳. I’m not confident that he will do it.
Morning Dove. That reminds me. The skinks have nearly got through the last carrot that I grated for them this morning. 😳. I’d better check my supplies.
