@AnnaB, fingers crossed. Try not to worry too much, if you've had covid before I expect your immune system will now protect you.

@Dovefromabove  There are always clients like that in the building trade.  The last bill is always the hardest to get. ...

In over 25 years of running a small building business we only ever took one person to court ... and that was the one ...

The delivery by Yodel has just been made, one more delivery for him and then a drive home of about an hour and a quarter from here. I'm impressed and told him so. Mmm, I'll report on the clematis in the spring

    Hello everyone.

I've been rubbing down woodwork & filling holes today, in preparation for OH wielding a paintbrush in the hall - this is a major achievement, because he's not been well enough to contemplate finishing the task for well over a year.  Onwards and upwards...   :)

We took a company to the Small Claims court a number of years ago, @punkdoc@tui34 is right - if you win, your fee is paid by the side which loses.  Good luck!

Providing they’ve not absconded out of the country to avoid doing so. 😡

Indeed, @Dovefromabove.  It took a long time to get our money but we were lucky, we did in the end.

Thank you @Uff Makes me so pleased to hear someone praising the delivery men, my son drives 250 miles everyday to do his deliveries.
Then goes in on a Saturday to wash and clean his van out and load it up for Monday for a quick getaway.

@tui34 no, I hadn't seen your link about a furet, it was on a different thread that I wasn't following. I've found it and noted the web page. Thank you. I have heard of a furet though.
