Oh dear ... that's rather spoiled the effect then @Uff ... I sent you hugs and breakfast in bed ... just attempting to ingratiate myself with my rich friend 😂

:) Ah I see Dove. Thank you it was a lovely thought. I'm expecting begging letters by the hundred now. I might post in the 'plunge' thread.

Good morning Forkers.  Wet and dark to start with this morning but sunny and clear now.  Very soggy on the way down to see the chooks - 2 eggs for the first time in months - and pick some red cabbage for my red salad.  7C now and definitely not shorts weather.

Don't usually have an early breakfast but did sneak a double chocolate chip biscuit with my second cuppa.  Had to make a batch last night for Possum who is on an 8 day training course with the Pôle Emploi - presentation and CV skills, career analysis and orientation - and said, after her first day yesterday, she'd need some chocolate to get thru today.

I have a dieting dilemma.   Having made a large Bakewell tart to take to dancing last night I received an edict from the Vendée prefectorate saying that for the month of January, outside of bars, cafés and restaurants, all sharing and consumption of food and drink during group/club/sporting/social activities in public spaces is banned to reduce Covid transmission risks.  That leaves 3 of us sharing all those luscious calories this weekend.

    Start again on Monday then.

OH keeps all our birthdays on his PC and gets alerts when they are due @Dovefromabove.  I keep them in my head.

It's not just the old houses Dove a lot of the new ones have terrible problems, apparently Perssimon come with an average of 300!
  • Looks beautiful, but you can keep it!
We do the post code lottery and have won a few £10, but waiting for 'the big one'! Not holding my breath. Someone I know won £30k, which would be very nice! Never do the lotto, though.
    Beautiful North Wales - hiraeth
