  • Good morning, newbie here - am I in the right place to say hi?
I'll lurk a while with my cuppa to get the feel of everything (sometimes you may find me in the office, aka greenhouse, reading a good book!). Looking forward to learning lots, sharing things and growing stuff.

Good morning and welcome @Penny_Forthem 😊. You’ve arrived in the perfect place …. kettle’s on, croissants, cinnamon  rolls and bacon baps are always available … find a comfy chair, listen to the chat and tell us about your garden when you’re ready 😊 ☕️🥐

Morning all. 7C out when I woke, now dropped to 5C. Good luck, WonkyWomble. Pleased little Uff is mending. Hope you got some outdoor exercise while it was still warm, Punkdoc. Keep coping, Hostafan. (Gentle) hugs to all those recovering from broken ribs, ops and bashed knees. Keep safe and well. Decorations coming down today, and back to the DIY.
Question, how does one get other users’ names in a different colour in posts, with the @ attached? I have to type out longhand, ( although the iPad does offer me predictive text)
If you put @ before typing the user name it comes up in colour which then gives a link to the member such as @Ergates

Morning and welcome Penny=Forthem. I'm a new lass too but it took me ages to realise that perhaps I should say hello in this thread. Nice to meet you.

Hey Dove, you didn't offer me a bacon bap when I joined, any spare now please?

I really must get on with some work today. A friend gave a me an ordnance survey map of where I live for Christmas and to say it's difficult is an understatement. It's the hill contours and the woodland that make it hard but it's also very addictive. I thought I knew my area inside out but I'm learning a lot about rigs, hills and knolls and lynns.

Morning all.  Welcome to new posters.  Glad to hear Uff is feeling better.
Overdid it a bit yesterday.  Got annoyed with Firstborn and took the rest of the deccies down and then moved all the furniture back.  I'm annoyed with myself today.  Ooh Bestie has just arrived for a cuppa.  See you all later.

Did I not @Uff? How remiss of me … are you sure Wee Uff didn’t snaffle it when your back was turned?  I hope that wasn’t what gave him the collywobbles 😦 I’ll make you another one … guard it with your life!!!

     Help yourselves folks …
