Morning everyone, happy birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel, my turn soon. Hope you are settled down now @punkdoc. Another very dull grey day here, at least it's dry.
Morning all, Happy Birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel I hope you are feeling a lot better now. Not nice those panic attacks @punkdoc my daughter suffers with them from time to time when she over thinks things and brings on an attack, so just think about the garden and it's calming effects and warmer weather to come. Another cold and frosty day, have put a wash on but not too sure if it will dry outside. OH says he is going to take the top out of a conifer that is shading the greenhouse, well that was last night, not sure if it will actually take place today! Have a good day everyone.
Morning all. My very best wishes to @D0rdogne_Damsel for a Happy Birthday, hope your neck pains are improving as the days pass. Best wishes too to @punkdoc, take it steady today if you can, panic attacks are not nice things to have. Weather looks pretty grey here, maybe the sun will show a glimmer later - ever hopeful that's me. Have a good Monday folks.
Good morning. Bright sun again here after a clear and very frosty night. It's beautiful but I've had enough now and would like a bit of warmth so I can catch up on garden jobs which have been backing up since we had all that rain in December and early January.
I shall be finishing cutting out a new top, preparing dinner to be ready when I get back from patchwork and mosaic at 8:30 and making a big batch of red salad for our lunches this week. Very healthy and tasty and better made a day ahead and lasts a week. Usually have it with frittata made with our chooks' eggs.
Happy birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel. Hope you get that pipework sorted @Busy-Lizzie. Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Morning and happy birthday DD (still won't let me tag you despite the D0 prefix, sorry). After a busy weekend of hospital scans and dog walking (and yes, he was well enough to come with me for the first time since his op) we're taking it 'easy'. One of our pooches is lame, so she's 'on the bench' too. Been plenty of dark nights here over the last year, but sleep is starting to feel a little more restful now. There have been no sleepwalkings for a while.
Good morning Forkers - hope your birthday is a happy one, @D0rdogne_Damsel , and the pain is continuing to ease.
Hugs for @punkdoc . Panic attacks are the pits. (Literally, I suppose...) - and for @Dovefromabove ; stressing for others and feeling guilty that one's own life is easy, has been common among us over-27s this past couple of years, I reckon.
The roofers came at 8.30, and have revealed rotten roof timber ends behind the barge boards on the utility roof. It's not a surprise but it means extra work (and expense, undoubtedly) to put it right.
But the weather is lovely. I might get out and do some more gardening later if I can squeeze past OH while he's painting, and creep through the roofers' scaffolding...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Happy birthday to @ DOrdogne-Damsel. Best wishes for all who are struggling with life these days- there are tough times ahead no doubt, but taking little moments for oneself to enjoy simple pleasures are important. I'm having a lovely cup of tea, whilst trying to type this... not easy with a cat on my lap headbutting my hands!
Happy birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel - hope you are sufficiently pain free to enjoy it. Oo'er @punkdoc - I had a panic attack once; thought I was having a heart attack. At least you, being a doc. know what it is. Hope pipes get sorted @Busy-Lizzie - you must be fed up with it all now.
News yesterday of a local lady with whom I am friends and working with on a number of local projects fell downstairs and shattered her shoulder blade at the weekend. Out of action for 8 weeks, poor thing. She is one of those people who is always busy - buzzing around doing several things at once. We'll have to see how much she can do in the coming weeks, whether by zoom or bedside catch-ups...
Happy birthday, @D0rdogne_Damsel, hope you are starting to feel better. Does seem that it would be a good idea to review your workload? Some sort of easing up before your holiday, so that you can start enjoying yourself the day you get away, instead of spending the beginning of your break trying to unwind? Poor @punkdoc, that must have been very scary and horrid. Hopefully things will look rather better in the cold light of day? Very envious, @janetfoss , having a cup of coffee, but would love a cat on my lap!
