Congratulations @Hostafan1 and well done to Connor's parents.

That is a beautiful thing that you have grown @chicky

All those squeamish about loos look away now.

It has not been a good day today. Both loos blocked and when I used a plunger in the downstairs loo dirty water (yuk) came up into the new shower next door. I rang 7 plumbers, one said he would come at 5.30pm then rang to say he hadn't time. Then one told me of a plumber I hadn't tried, I left him a message and another plumber I hadn't tried rang to say the last plumber had rung him and he could come. He came, used a pump thing, didn't work. He's coming back tomorrow with a thing called a furet and a Karcher. There is a problem somewhere, it's the 4th time in the last year. P has unblocked it before but he's gone to Normandy. He said the handyman C would do it but he didn't want to. I have to use a bucket or go in the paddock and use a bowl in the kitchen. If the upstairs loo is flushed it drains away now since the plumber came but I found the downstairs loo was filling up and I had to empty it with an old saucepan and a bucket.

Ooh, how horrible for you @Busy-Lizzie. Do hope you get a plumber in to fix it asap.

Nightmare @Busy-Lizzie :s Typical isn't it after your good day yesterday!

After I got the final replacement fence panel in place (at long last!), I've broken up the last of the old panels so that I can take them to the tip. Dug out an old tree stump as well so today has been a success in the garden.

    Oh @Busy-Lizzie 😭 🤗 ☕️ 🍷
I was going to say what a PITA … but that seems inappropriate 🙄

    Well done @Biglad 👍
Thats a really productive day 😎

I’ve made a big pot of soup for OH’s lunch flasks … this time it’s squash (home grown) with celery and apple … the idea came to me and OH loves it … he thinks I’m a genius 👩‍🍳🥇

The rice thing is a myth, search for mythbusters and you will find it has been tested and found wanting. Far better to leave it in the open air somewhere warm. You need air to circulate around the device to help evaporate any residual moisture.

I can buy a wee cheap phone for about £12 and I've ordered a new sim card for £1.50. Crisis averted.

@Busy-Lizzie can you call out the company in your area that empties the fosses? They may come as an emergency.
