    Happy New Year all.

I spent NYE at a French Party, absolutely lovely, but a long night, and then, with very little time to sleep it was time for the casse-croûte..... apparently it is normal to have wine just after getting out of bed, and rude not to accept.  Then perfectly normal to go to a bar for a pre- lunch glass of something.  All good fun and a nice break from the norm. I am however, now back at CdeG making the curry for the new menu which starts tomorrow. Work Hard, play hard, that's me.

Have a lovely day all whatever you are doing. Glorious sunshine here so I hope that continues for the next 40 days. :)

Just popped in to wish all my old Forker Friends a very Happy New Year - may you all be healthy, wealthy and wise(r) and fingers crossed we all get to do a little more of what we fancy this year.

    Happy New Year folks🎉

PS @punkdoc How was your Simon Rogan meal? It looked delicious and I'm quite tempted to order one in for us as a special treat. I'd be pleased to hear if it was both delicious and if the portions were a sensible size rather than a measly couple of teaspoons for each course. (We're usually hungry diners!)

Pleased to see the charity fund raisers being recognised but not TB - far too slimy and creepy and dishonest IMHO, just more subtle about it than Boris and his mob.

@Topbird, it was very good indeed, it was the 2nd. of his meals we have had and both have been excellent. Portion sizes were fine too. I wouldn't bother with the cheese, felt we could get better locally.

Thank you for your welcome, lovely people!

As a fully paid-up introvert I find chatting difficult, especially when I don't feel I have anything interesting to say!  (At work I had to force myself to sit with people at coffee break - strange, because I got on well with the people I worked with...)  However, I've really missed you lot, and look forward to spending more time on here now Hubby seems to be over the worst.   :)

We've missed you too @Liriodendron .. you don't have to have anything 'interesting' to say ... I just witter on about nothing ... but I know some folk don't do that ... they're often the 'good listeners' ... but just popping in and saying hello is still contributing to the general good feeling. :)  ((hug))
