Thank you for letting us know Dove and I'm pleased that he knows we are thinking of him.

I'm somewhat curmudgeonly after removing my laundry from the washing machine....... and finding my mobile phone was in my trouser pocket.
Will it dry out on the radiator?

  • Thank you @Dovefromabove , as long as  he has his head above water and is looking after himself that's the only thing that counts. Wishing him well from a distance.

Sorry for not responding. I’ll do it in the day time.  Only just dragging ourselves to bed  at 3am after watching more episodes of The Killing.  🙄😳

Congratulations to the proud parents and grandparents @Hostafan1   Bad news about the mobile phone - try packing it in rice - apparently absorbs the humidity but don't like your chances.  Sorry too, to hear that the Wordle thread is grating but as @Dovefromabove said, it'll fizzle out once we all start to plan our spring and summer garden.  A little winter diversion.

Stay cool @Pat E  May be easier to sleep at 3am....hmmm.

That was nice of you @Dovefromabove to relay our support to @punkdoc

I see The Bay as started Season 3.

Putting it in a bowl of uncooked rice will absorb moisture @Hostafan1

Somewhere warm but I wouldn't put it on direct heat. Good luck!

    Good evening folks.
    Congratulations @Hostafan1 and family.

Re your mobile... the rice and warm might work but is it worth trying salvage the SIM card and put into another (old one or get a cheapy?) so you can make and receive calls/txts at least. What a PITA.

Hope all are ok. Day off today and I am still in PJs. Marvellous.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • @Hostafan1 submerge in uncooked rice ( I presume other whole grains could work as well ) re the phone , and ( to state the obvious for which I apologise) don't try charging or otherwise switching on/off until you are sure its totally dry ( 24 hours +). 50/50 at best the chance of recovering it fingers crossed for you.

Many congratulations, @Hostafan1 on your happy news- obviously not the accident with your phone, though, that's a bit of a bummer.I hope it isn't too damaged.
Kind regards to punkdoc, from a relative stranger. I know how much he is valued here.
