Congrats @Hostafan1 ……what lovely news.  Hope both are well.

I’ve had to skip through many Popmaster posts in the past …..it’s very easy to speed read 🤣

Congratulations Connor on being born into a lovely family ... you'll definitely be loved very much 🥂 especially by Grandpa @Hostafan1 ... how soon can you learn to weed? ;)

As for Wordle ... I suspect the current enthusiasm and rate of posting about it will die down before too long ... it's good, but not that good ...  ;)

Afternoon all, still brilliantly sunny here after another hard frost overnight. We managed to do another hour of leaf clearing but as the leaf bin No. 1 is now full up, have had to put the leftovers into 3 bin bags and dump into Bin.2. (last year's) temporarily.

Happy news @Hostafan1, congrats to new parents. You'll soon have two strapping lads to help with the gardening.

Glad that storm wasn't over here @Pat E but smashing pictures.

    Lovely flower @chicky.

Realized that covid must be past it's worst (hopefully)we've all stopped commenting on it, or is it just boredom.

Right, still sunshiny so will do some more gardening.

    Hello all.   :)

Congrats to Grandpa @Hostafan1, and to Connor's Mum & Dad!

Just about finished decorating the hall - just got to clean the floor and put the furniture back, then it's on to the next room... though I'm in the middle of some upholstery too, so might take a bit of time off.  Also need to make some marmalade...

I'm a Wordle fan but inclined to agree about a separate thread, particularly for anyone wanting to post a hint (eg american spelling, double letters etc).  It's frustrating for anyone wanting to tackle it in the evening, not to be swayed by the innocently-dropped hints arriving in the morning.

    Congratulations, @Hostafan1

Had some shocking news this morning. A friend who I spoke to at Christmas mentioned that her brother had gone quiet (he does that now and then - he drinks). Today she texted me to say she's just found out he died in October and no one had thought to tell her. She's his next of kin. Surely the Coroner or the police or someone is supposed to make some attempt to contact relatives in the case of a sudden death? The Council paid for his funeral - surely they'd have tried to get in touch? She eventually found out through the owner of the flat he lived in. Presumably everyone thought that someone else would tell her.

That is so sad @raisingirl  … having worked for a local authority I would have thought that, in normal times, they’d certainly have tried to track down a next of kin … but these are not normal times. However I’d have thought an explanation and apology from them is due.

I only popped in here just now to see if you were a grandfather yet @Hostafan1!  Congratulations - how long before you get a cuddle?
The thing about having a separate Wordle thread is it would just be posts of how many goes it took everyone each day - which wouldn't be very interesting.  The thing about doing it here is that we are among friends and I am interested in how people here did, rather than the wider forum.
But I promise I will only post my results if I do it in 3 or less!

Wonderful news, @Hostafan1! Hope mum and little one are doing well.

Wordle does seem to be sufficiently popular to merit its own thread?
