Good afternoon everyone. T'Bird, I hope that the problem with the motorhome is easily (and reasonably) remedied. Shrewsbury is a lovely pla e. I remember going to the flower show there many moons ago and it was terrific. In fact I should add it to my repeat visit list. My cold is a nuisance and the cough I've had to put up with on and off for over 5 years now has been troublesome again. Despite every test known to medical science I have still got the Docs baffled. I am so pleased with your generous sharing of your cold with your OH Has he given any thoughts to flying again T'Bird?
Bet they're all asleep at Dove's after that feast. Biglad, glad you managed to get outside today. Its lovely getting lots of plants for free isn't it and sempervivums are great for that. I've lost count of all of mine. How is the straightening of the fence post going or is it on the back burner for now?
I got my two new clemmies planted into their pots with their new obelisks. Planted a few more bulbs and moved some foxgloves and aquilegias. I found a big adult rat, dead, in my garden. I have no bait down at all so I'm not sure what caused her demise. I have a suspicion it may have been my neighbours with the baby girl who may have put bait down. There was no damage on it at all, it was just wet from the rain last night. I picked it up and binned it as I didn't want any raptor making off with it if it had been poisoned somewhere else.
Yvie, it will have been nice to have had the good weather so that you could get out with the small people into the garden
RosieBB, it could have been Basildon! That is most odd about your towel but these this do happen.

Had another go at the bean jungle - got rid of all the foliage and the loganberry is fine ;) What I thought was a tangled mass of 6 dwarf French bean plants was no such thing. I pulled up 5 of them and they were puny with just a single bean between them. The 6th plant was a beast intertwining with itself all the way up the sunflowers and along the Lily's TV water outlet pipe. Doesn't look much in the photo but you can make out some of the routes it took. Phenomenal harvest from pretty much one plant :Dย

  • You've been busy @Ladybird4 and @Biglad
Rained here most of the afternoon, so didn't get out in the garden today.
Watched the results for strictly earlier, won't say anything in case others haven't seen it yet.
@Ladybird4 hope you feel better in the morning.
Will say goodnight too,ย  sleep well everyone, sweet dreams.

Good morning all just popping in to say hi. Had Maisie all weekend unexpectedly as her parents are on their honeymoon and my youngest daughter who was supposed to be having Maisie has hand foot and mouth as does Thomas so all change!ย
Taking her to school then work then picking her up and taking her back home where other nanny is with George so a busy day planned. I donโ€™t drive so lotta of lifts and buses and even an Uber in the mix. Her mom and dad are home tonight it was just 4 days in Greece. She is lovely but nanny is tired.ย
Hope all are well, not had chance to read back.ย

Morning @bluebellsinthewild @debs64 and all to follow. Aย  chilly morning here too. Have popped the heating on to take the chill off. Think we'll be turning the heating on for the winter soon.ย
Sorry to hear your daughter and grandson are a bit poorly @debs64 hope they're both better soon. Bet Maisie had a lovely weekend with you. I'm sure the bride and groom had better weather for their honeymoon and it will have done your daughter the world of good.
Hope your day at work isn't too stressful. Hope you'reย  feeling better after your cough and cold.
@bluebellsinthewild I'm joining you with a cup of tea โ˜•โ˜•
