No you aren't Busy. You illustrated your comments with a great picture of the log pile Think about it this way RosieBB. Do you REALLY need a shaker alarm. I'd save your money and ask your Mum to give to a call. Once upon a time to could arrange for an early morning phone call. I can't remember how that actually worked. Hang on a mo, I think I am thinking about hotels so forget that. Doh!
SGL you have had foggy mornings 3 days in a row now I think. Its mizzling here but the good old council have been out and cut the grass in front of my house.

Morning all. It's a lovely sunny day here but rather chilly. Think I'm going to finish a few chores, then weed under the new hedge and then mulch the path at the back of that border with the bags of bark nuggets which have been hanging about since spring. Better late than never eh?

Hope Debs and LB's coughs and colds are subsiding. Two and a half weeks in and I've still got a 'bit of a chest' but it's significantly better than it was. Like LB I have a permanent, irritating little cough (yes - I've had tests and X-Rays - probably a minor allergic reaction to 'something') and I'm quite looking forward to 'normal' coughing againπŸ™ƒ OH is still only halfway through his and is not a happy bunny.

@Ladybird4 - you're not losing it! you did use to be able to dial 100 to book an alarm / wake-up call with the operator πŸ™‚ That was back in the day of "Dial-a-Disc" and 8 track cartridges.....

@bluebellsinthewild - if your mobile phone has an alarm function and a vibrate mode, I wonder if it would be worth trying that under your pillow? My friend regularly sleeps through her alarm and, if she needs to be up for an appointment,Β her daughter has to ring her to make sure she's up. Rather inconvenient if her daughter wants a sleep-in!

Afternoon everybody. Phew T'Bird, thanks for the reassurance I've not lost my marbles - yet! Its also helped knowing I am not the only one with a permanent cough. The Doc reckons mine is a sensitivity to 'something'! I know I cannot use any kind of air freshener in fact loads of aerosols. My hairdresser in town knows this now so I manage to escape any kind of 'product' application though anyone close by can set me off. In these Covid times I was beginning to feel guilty if I needed to cough. My next door neighbour, who is a staff nurse, told me to turn it into a laugh. Somewhat easier said than done though! I am much improved today thanks - better than the weather!! Did you manage to get the hedge bottoms cleared and the mulch applied?
One of my new clemmies 'Nubia' has produced a flower. I suspect that this will be the last of the year.

    Afternoon everyone!

LB, I understand you completely about cough. I always feel that all looking at me when I cough. Beautiful clematis.

Just came back from cottage. It's sunny finally but very windy. I sorted my apple trees and it took me a lot of time. Now tea in the warm house.
I hope so that you all had a lovely day.

    One more small hrvest.

Hi Ante. A small harvest? That looks huge to me Ante and your veggies always look so beautiful. I'm glad that your weather is better for a change. It makes it so much easier to work in your garden and at the cottage. I meant to say that I was really glad that Croatia manage to pull back a goal and get a draw the other night. That must have cheered you up after the disappointing first half.

A friend has a bit of a chronic cough and so do I. She said it was because she had whooping cough really badly as a child, so did I. I wonder if that's it, also my first OH was a very heavy smoker.

Went to the SM, trout was on special offer so that's dinner sorted. This afternoon I did some weeding in the veg garden and planted some rooted strawberry runners.

Ante, I have watched a lot of England rugby games like that The veggies look beautiful whether they are muddy or not. In England Ante, we have what are known as Farmers Markets where we can go to buy all our fresh vegetables straight from the fields. Lots of other things can be sold in these markets such as soft fruits in season, jams, honey, crafts of all descriptions. Do you have similar in Croatia?

Goodness me @star gaze lily, I've just seen that Robert Webb has had to pull out of Strictly for health reasons. Such a shame for him.

Hello Busy, you snuckered in there. I know that I did have whooping cough when young but am not sure of the severity. My chronic cough only appeared in me just over 5 years ago.
