Good morning Ruth. you snuckered in there. Already supplied myself with a cup of tea and my cereals. Lily has just appeared looking for her breakfast. She'll do the usual - lick all the gravy up and leave the lumps.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Ha ha good morning SGL, you snuckered in too. I had a better sleep last night too and I can feel the difference today. That is a shocking statistic knowing how little time is left until that day! My Bestie's daughter - who is a complete C*******s lover was already talking about it yesterday which produced some classic eye rolls from her Mum. She will covert both hers and Bestie's house into grottoes which are actually amazing when finished but the preparation drives Bestie to despair. She hates - as she calls it - clutter.

Haha LB I remember last year.....or was it the year before.....you telling us all about the 'Grotto' I've got 5 birthdays before 🎉 although only 3 for pressies to buy. Two are my niece in laws so only send cards now. The others are my Dil in 2 weeks time, then a friend and then OH the end of November. Glad you slept well too. Have a lovely day everyone
Good heavens, festive talk already, though the SM was loading toy shelves the other day.
I bought a flat pack plastic cupboard from the DIY place for gardening stuff to put in the car port barn. I hope to assemble it today, then plant my 6 Fuchsia Riccartonii along the donkey paddock fence between the clematis. I also have a Honeysuckle Belgica that I bought yesterday to plant there.
P and CB should finish pointing the dining room walls this afternoon.
My new Passport should arrive this afternoon. I suppose it will be dark blue.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Afternoon Busy and everyone. Busy as usual Busy . There is nothing nicer than getting into the garden and planting things out. I've done a bit in my garden today. Dividing and planting a Campanula, planting out Stachys and cutting back a Buddleja. I noticed these doing well:
I've never had much success with Toad Lilies before so I was pleased when I spotted this.

Beautiful photos @Ladybird4 Love the Passion flower. Oops LB, I'd forgotten 2 other birthdays, although only cards for those and an anniversary card 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ But thankfully not as many as you, Phewwww😉 @Busy-Lizzie lots of Christmas decs in shops and GC now. And chocolate treats in SM 🤦🏻♀️ Sun is shining now, after a dreary morning. I'm going to spend some time in the garden this afternoon taking leaves and also planting some Allium bulbs.
Good afternoon everyone. Lily I had a long sleep early hours, better than usual. LB your flowers look lovely and healthy. I do like campanulas. Dove you were an early bird. Alfie’s curled up on the cosy throw in the bedroom. I’ve been blow waving my hair. I’ve had an early tea of vegetarian sausages with rosemary and just having a hot chocolate. A quiet day today. LB apparently it takes the energy company 12 weeks to deal with a reads request so the office might be closed Christmas week, so it could be sometime in January before I hear. I’ve put it in my diary to follow. This delay will incur 6 months of bills being over estimated. I’m not a happy bunny. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Hello again SGL and RosieBB. SGL between us we have a l-o-t of acknowledgements to make leading up to the festive season! Hope that you got your Alliums planted. RosieBB, record your own meter readings every month and take a picture of your meters to prove the readings - that is what I am doing. Do you have an online account because you could enter your meter readings online? The other thing that you can do is to contact Citizens Advice (you may have already done that so sorry if I'm giving you old advice). I found useful help here.
