  • LB it’s good you’re now to have your flu jab in the village.  Yvie sorry to hear the children were unwell.  I hope it soon passes.  Busy I’m glad you could watch the match in the end.  It really was a good one.  Hazel North Water was too dark for me too, quickly flipped channels but, in any event, didn’t have a late night.
  • Biglad it’s definitely feeling more autumnal here now, more like jumper weather.

Handy brother has just rung me to say that he has been asked to take part in this new  NHS Galleri trial - the new blood test that detects the earliest signs of cancer. He has completed and collected together all the necessary information required, tried the number they supplied and after getting the usual recorded message to say someone would be with him shortly, the phone line went dead! I've suggested he try first thing in the morning if he has no luck tonight. We both had a laugh about that.

Hazel, an interesting question about Jack's exercise machine. He had the original box - complete with pre formed polystyrene packaging and after several attempts at trying to get all the bits back into the box there was one piece that just would NOT go in. In the end we decided to just leave that bit out and save our backs. Why does that always happen?
Yvie, I meant to say that I, too, was sorry to hear that the two boys had been unwell after their day out and I hope that they are now feeling a bit better.

Good night folks sleep well .
  • Good morning everyone.  I woke up at 4am.  I didn’t realise it was so early.  I have a gas service during the first half of the day so wanted to be up as he could be here any time from 8am onwards to 1pm.  I’ve just had my first cup of tea of the day and it was very welcome.  It feels quite cold this morning.  A definite drop in temperature..  I hope you all slept well.  Topbird I hope your foots healing.

Good morning RosieBB and all arriving later.
Just watched a heart warming story about an 81 year old who decided to climb all 282 Munros to raise money for the Alzheimers and Osteoporosis charities, as his wife suffers from both. There is hope for we 27 year olds yet.
p.s. Yes, Hazel, I think a few of us could use that excuse.

  • LB good morning, I saw the clip too.  He had done very well with his climbs.  I’m glad to hear he had some company.
