Good afternoon all. I'm with you Hazel, I absolutely hate throwing away any seedlings I've grown which is why I grow less and less things from seed these days - opting for plugs when necessary. I made a mistake today. I was full of good intentions and then I went into the larger of my two back bedrooms which has now become the 'craft room'. I have an old oak sideboard in there so I decided to have a poke about. Hands up who remembers Filofaxes. I found mine which I haven't even thought about for a gazillion years. It still had the specifically designed ruler and and calculator in it - and the calculator still works! Mind you it does have solar energy panels. I had to do a little calculation or two. I then dragged out my shredder and set to, destroying heaps of ancient paperwork. I lugged the shreds down to my compost bin and got soaked in the rain which waited until I got to the bottom of the garden and then it persisted down on my return trip.
Sorry T'Bird but you just painted a picture of you going to the SM on your new bike Well who knows; maybe you are! Busy, you sound too jolly for us lot stuck under the grey and dismal skies here. Please send some sunshine this way. I'm going to have to put the lights on soon, its so dark.

Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
How is is your clematis positioned. I have it north facing and I’m reliably informed it will thrive and it does grow but has stayed small. This is only year 2 but I’d hoped it would be bigger by this point
