Biglad, enjoy your running around the field duties today. I was wondering about your fence panels and how you were getting along and you've answered that question. I bet you are itching to get those in position.

    Morning all,

I may have a helper tomorrow @Ladybird4 :) However, the saga could well bore us all for a while yet. I reckon I can get all the old panels out (they should break up easy enough) and the remaining 3 gravel boards in relatively easily. Another summer's growth in next door's back border could make getting the new ones in hard work though. Then there's the panel tight between my shed and their holly bush :o

I'll nip round this evening and talk to them about doing some 'light pruning' :D before we attempt the heavy lifting. There are definitely two relatively thick branches that will need to go from one of their trees.

Having taken delivery and carried/dragged them from front to back, I'm fully aware of just how sturdy they are. Could well be increasing my growing space by attaching wall bags and/or planters :)

  • Hello folks … hoping for a calmer day today … yesterday involved changing to a new iPhone with attendant glitches and a warning light on the far which was solved by the lovely mechanic.

Morning everyone . A very warm night last night .I hope that everyone has a good day . I must get up and get on with my day .
  • Just back from sm shop.  Very quiet this morning, although they were having trouble with the exit door jamming so I left via the entrance.  I’ve just opened the home door to take an additional bin liner up the slope where the bin was and the bin man greeted me at the door and took the bag for me.  Very jolly.  Good timing.    Regarding energy companies LB I knowEDF have now been appointed for one of the failed companies, the first one they named.
  • Morning everyone,
Need to pop to the shops this morning as there were a few items missing from our food delivery last evening. Bread being one of them 😫
Seeing the poppets this afternoon 🥰🥰
    Have a good day everyone

Morning Biglad, Dove, Ruby and SGL. Biglad I hope the diplomatic talks with the neighbour are successful. Both my neighbours know from me chatting with them that they can prune off anything that is in the way of their gardens, fencing etc. I have no concerns. Living happily with neighbours is important and I've been blessed with mine.
RosieBB, with going shopping yesterday I had a sneaky suspicion I may have got up this morning thinking it was Sunday. So far so good. Is it usual for your bin to be emptied on a Saturday? Nice of the man to pick up your bin sack for you though. Not heard anything yet about my replacement company but if it is to be EDF for the interim period I will definitely NOT be staying with them.
Eeek SGL, no bread? Thats a bit of a concern for you. I have to say that item was in plentiful supply in 'sco yesterday. Good luck with your shopping this morning and enjoy seeing the small people this afternoon.

Good morning Hazel, you snuckered in there. Good luck finding the wood you need for your raised cold frame project. I can sympathise with the back ache from bending over to tackle jobs in a cold frame.
p.s. hope you did your exercises!

Not sure about whirlwind @Songbird-1, maybe a slow moving depression? :D Hope you avoid the masses and get what you need.

It's decent again here with no rain forecast until the wee small hours of Sunday.
