Glad you had a nice time out with your friend and a new bookshelf always comes in useful. Your veggies look brilliant and I think it is a good idea to get your apple trees staked because the rocking in the wind might cause the roots to break. SGL, I'm sorry that your pot got broken by the hosta but at least you now have two for the price of one. You could get a C. montana now SGL. It woud be good to get it in the ground now whilst the soil is still warm and it will be settled by next Spring and you may get a few flowers.

I've finished my Jewel bed, added daffodils, tulips and alliums, just need some spring and early summer flowering plants but there aren't any in the GCs at the moment. I've planted some wallflowers though. Done the edge with the half moon thingy.

Another manic Monday. Having a slump in front of Mastermind at the moment, but I should do another hour or two before I clock off for the day.
Looked lovely outside today but may have been a touch chillier than yesterday. Not great weather for sunflowers that have just decided to start blooming Like my daffodils earlier this year, my garden seems to be a haven for late developers. Sowed these in March and no flowers until October!
Oh dear Ante. Fingers crossed that your team beat Slovakia. Fantastic result for your jam making though. Night night Ante. Biglad your sunflowers are stunning now. I felt exactly as you in that my flowers all seemed to be very late in appearing. The seasons all seem very mixed up.

Yes, shame about the pot, it was a beautiful shape and quite old. It was one from my father~in~laws garden. The hosta has been in it a few years now and got really big this year. So what with the size of the plant and the age of the pot, it probably couldn't last any more. @Ante30 glad you have plenty of home made jam, it will be yummy with toast.

Ruby, I would like to know too. Thanks for the well wishes SGL. The cold is taking a little longer to shrug off but I'll get there. Too dark yet to see whats going on outside but I am hoping to potter in the garden again today. I am hoping for a delivery of some charity cards for that festive season as well - having discovered yesterday that the stash I THOUGHT I had was actually only 4! I do hope everyone has a lovely day today.

LB, I made jam last Saturday. Eleven jars are prepared for winter. I also don't like snowflakes so early.
First half was disappointment. I don't enjoy very much.
