Sorry about yet another bad night @Hostafan1, hope you manage the day working.
Lucky Dad, @chicky, having so much help from the family, but it all sounds fun.
Warm and sunny. It's French Mother's Day, Daughter 1 rang and we had a good chat. Bank holiday tomorrow, they have rented a cabin on the Atlantic coast which the family are enjoying. I had a look at the website, lovely cabins, all mod cons, very reasonably priced. Sometimes they show glamping on "Four in a Bed" and I'm often amazed at how expensive they are.
OH told me on the phone this morning about Boris and Carrie's wedding.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
A beautiful day here too. I am trying to be artistic, wandering round placing pots of Cannas and Dahlias, where I think they will look best. A damn sight easier than the next stage, planting them.
A friend on another forum surmises that Boffle's wedding had to happen quick 'cos there's probably another mini-BoJo on the way, and while a twice-divorced father of heaven known how many bairns (two or is it three now) born t'other side of the blanket might just about squeeze a marriage of some sort in an RC cathedral for the mother of one of his children, it might be stretching it a bit to wangle it for the mother of two wee ones born without the benefit of a wedding ring. Just what I heard m'lud 🤔
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Going off on another tack ,as a new person, and having read your posts you seem to know your garden stuff, I’ve been given a tiny gardenia in a 9 cm pot .I know nothing about growing gardenias what is the 1 st and maybe the2 nd and3 rd step ? ie what do I do with it ?
Hello @bcpathome. This is a chat thread and you're very welcome to join in but for specific gardening questions you need to start a new thread with a clear title such as "Gardenia care" so that all the people who know about camellias will see it and offer advice.
In the meantime, have a look at thin k to and RHS page which indicates their care needs.
Back to the chat - @Pat E It was in LIDL so it did well to have a label saying "eucalyptus". No mention of variety but slightly pointed foliage and a strong smell.
You misunderstand @bcpathome. People who are only here to discuss gardening and plants don't visit the chat threads so you'll get more answers on your own thread for a specific plant or garden question.

Afternoon all. Hope the day is a pleasant one folks.
@Dovefromabove - you gave me a memory when you were saying about being born on the other side of the blanket... my Nan used to say something about falling pregnant as “getting your foot caught in the blanket”. Not sure if she was referring to pregnancy out of wedlock (she was a very Christian lady)??
Hi pathome I suggest the first thing you need to be aware of with those plants is not to give it any lime. They like an acid environment. You could always spread some pine needles around the base as a start. 😁
My comment about getting stressed with the gloves is about knitting the fingers. My glove pattern is for fingerless gloves (well, half length fingers) and I was making child size ones because the last pair sold on Friday and I need to replace them. They are very fiddly. She still has a supply of ladies and men’s sizes to sell, but I only had one pair of the kids ones there. I now remember why. 🙄😁
Obelixx, the description of the Eucalyptus would describe just about every species in the genus. 🙄😁. Never mind, I was just curious to see what they are trying to con people over to plant.

Hope you survive work today, @Hostafan1.

I've had to search the http://clematisontheweb.org/new-clemlistsearch.cfm site to identify the clem I bought and have narrowed it down to Albatross or Mr Vanunu - probably.
Glad you like my bag. I even have a matching mask. Why do you find knitting the gloves stressful? deadline pressure? Complicated pattern? The sewing up? Maybe you coud try a simpler pattern that doesn't have individual finger holes?
