    Morning all,

Busy day, staff meeting with new and old staff and more boxes to tick off my lists.
Annoyingly the dishwasher pump isn't working properly (obviously been off too long) and the sign writer is being very slow to deliver new signage, all phone calls to deal with today. First day back at school for Charlie in a month too.

I'll hope to catch you all at sometime, have a good day.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I went to bed really early and slept really deeply ... although I had a weird dream ... mashed potatoes with tinned peaches and mayo anyone?
It doesn’t look as if we’ve had any rain overnight, but we’re promised 100% certainty of rain this evening ...

    Morning all,

We've had some rain o/night but only enough to make everything look damp. Not the proper soaking that so many of our gardens could do with.

Might fill in the gaps in the broad bean bed today. I planted some seeds direct and some back-ups that germinated under cover.

The triffids/green beans will need moving on from the seed tray in the very near future as well.

We’ve got rain!  Yippee.  In fact it’s more than rain. It’s hailing and thunder.

    Morning all.

It's a lovely day so I will be getting on with making the new rose bed. The lawn grass, even weedkilled, is very tough to get off, nothing like the Norfolk cottage where the soil is a delight.

I haven't yet watched Line of Duty so no spoilers please. I'd recorded Viewpoint, only to find that the actor has been badly in trouble because of his treatment of women and the last episode was withdrawn.

Lucky you @Pat E, wish it would rain properly here, but it is forecast later in the week.

Wall to wall sunshine here with a fresh, light breeze.  Expecting rain tomorrow.   Maybe I should carry on cleaning windows to guarantee it?   Only did 3 yesterday so clearly not enough.

OH has started trundling up the pots of HH fuchsias to go on the terrace after I've cleaned them and then weeding for me after lunch.   Need to find a home for divisions of perennial buckwheat.  https://www.bethchatto.co.uk/conditions/plants-for-general-conditions/fagopyrum-dibotrys.htm I bought a pot of it at Beth Chatto's garden in May 2016 and it sat happily in a bigger pot till I planted it out last spring in the bed along the ruin.  It has clearly been very happy!  Well over a metre tall in flower and pretty foliage but I now have a spreading plant and babies too, self seeded in pots if you please.

Have fun with all the organising @D0rdogne_Damsel and don't lose sight of your achievements so far and your love of the independence it all gives you.

Love a good thunder storm @Pat E but not so much your dream diet @Dovefromabove
