Thanks @Obelixx Yes, I'll ask her to let me know in future.  I could have gone round but thought there was little point if none of the phones were being answered.

Well at least you would have known why none of the phones were working.

Things have changed haven't they ... back in the day we never used to worry if phones went unanswered .... many many folk didn't even have a phone and used the village phone box to keep in touch, or even came across to us at the farm in the centre of the village if they needed to call the doctor etc ... we were certainly the number given by several families who's sons were away in the army etc., and my parents would take a message for us to carry to the council houses across the meadow ... occasionally our parents would take the message themselves ... looking back I think they did that in cases they suspected might be about bad news.  Back then folk kept in touch by letter.  I try to remember that when my children don't answer their phones.  B)

We had the only phone in our road for a long time and neighbours would often come round to use the phone and leave a 2p coin on the side afterwards?

I’m in Bed early tonight. Early Dr appt. she has to check me over to authenticate my driving licence since I’m so old.  😳. I did get my first driving licence in 1960 after all and I might not be safe any more.
Darn it, couldn’t get the Bold off.   I do know the road rules have changed a bit.

We’ve got a full week of appointments. Tuesday my Dr, as above, Wednesday my chiropractic neck workout, and Hubby’s quarterly GP appt,  Thursday Hubby toe nail chopping, Friday his Oncologist appt.  I’m planning a very quiet Saturday. Need to get more petrol for the car too. 🙄.

Hope you all had a good day.

Hosta, your day sounded very frustrating. Rather you than me.
