@Nollie your eyes for you is out before mine, I do love those Hulthemias.  Mines budding though along with Angel eyes.  It does have a bit of a light delicate scent - weird as I didnt think those were supposed to! ;)

One of the parents of Eyes for You is purported to be Blue for You @JessicaS, which is presumably where it gets some fragrance from, so strictly speaking its a Hulthemia hybrid. I thought I had been sent the wrong rose at first as the buds were a pale yellow colour with red tints, but thankfully there is no hint of those warm tones in the very lovely bloom, otherwise it would have clashed horribly with the cool tones surrounding it. I need to keep sniffing and maybe wait for some more blooms to try and work out what it smells of, my nose is very confused!

@Omori, Beautiful. I love lilac. When I walk around neighbourhood I keep smelling lilacs. People would think crazy lady   :D

I had proper lilac tree in previous house. Here I only had a small shrub and it is showing no sign of life. I will get a replacement this year.

@Marlorena, I always enjoy your photos of border by road. I wish I could plant out the border by road but it is on steep slope and not private.

@Desi_in_London I like the ruffled petals and colour, quite different to most roses. But did not go for it as I was not sure about the fragrance.
@peteS all my roses in pots have been planted on them. Could not bother mixing and matching composts so.... seems to be ok for now, time will tell I guess...
@Nollie my 'Eyes for you' was scented, like old rose.. could be wrong, but I feel it was the best scented among the Hulthemias.. did not know that 'blue for you' was scented

Ty @newbie77, sorry about yours not surviving. Which variety do you think you’ll get? I have this one and Mme Lemoine (white). I have to check tomorrow if it’s flowering yet. They’re both young, about 2 years old. I love the smell of lilac as well, so beautiful.

@Omori, i had Syringa meyeri not sure exactly which one as I had rescued it from a shopping trolley outside a closed lidl. It wasnt even in a pot, just dumped.

I will get something similar which can be a small shrub or may be a white one which can grow like small tree, I need to think about it.

@Nollie the eyes for you rose is very distinguish looking, I had a fake rose on a hat that looked exactly like that. I didn’t know it was a real variety.
