Thank you @Tack. That's very helpful! I wish I'd bought more of my favourite pots by Emsa, as I can't find them anywhere now and they were the perfect size. Ah well.
'Chippendale' - more blooms, from the oldest to the newest. And the whole plant (1st-year, I had to add some canes to keep the blooms upright, but I think it will outgrow this). And another European import - 'Agnes Schilliger', taking ages to fully open. Obviously, it needs more heat than it's getting here. A Massad/Guillot rose from the Generosa collection. Very vigorous and pretty shrub but gets blackspot. It looks like she is like other French roses - preferring dry and hot summers. I think it would do well for those of you in the south or east England.
I’m just watching on YouTube a Paul Zimmerman video as he talks to Michael Marriott of David Austin’s. They are covering Michael’s early gardening career and how he came to work at DA. It’s a two part video each an hour long. I thought you lovely rosy people would enjoy.
@Katsa - it just keeps doing that at the moment. Only if I upload from my phone. Sometimes I have to crop the photo and save it and it then uploads in the correct orientation.
Rhapsody in Blue - lots of flowers and still many more buds

I love the way this bed is starting to knit together. Scarborough Fair in front
Eustacia Vye
And I’m really chuffed with this - my first flower on my two year old Iris that I grew from seed. Collected a discarded seed pod from a garden we visit regularly, full of little chestnut like seeds. Only two grew and this is one of them. Think it was from an iris sibirica.
