@Omori Yes, I did. But I can't really tell if it works, I haven't used that much of it and I used it in combination with other things. More like it can't hurt and maybe it helps approach.
@endeavourlondiniumE32axz5M, I have enlarged your photo in an attempt to see better, do you mean the tiny white root, is it growing out of the knobbly bit - old pruning cut or part of the graft? Was that bit buried by the soil originally? Looks as if the level has sunk a bit in the middle with watering, and if so that’s just a rose root, as buried stems put out roots and therefore nothing to worry about. It will just die back exposed to the air or you can shuffle the compost back over it. I notice there is another white straggly root thing to the right, maybe just a weed? Maybe they both are...

@Nollie the red circle is old pruning.. the blue arrow, white straggly stuff is dead weed 😅😅😅.. the middle bit, I purposely loosen some soil to take the photo, hopefully can get a picture of the base. Okay.. I was worried if it’s a sucker.. thank you so much for the help ..
Ah, ok, my shortsightedness aside @endeavourlondiniumE32axz5M, like Omori, can’t see any suckers 😆 Welcome, btw, do join us in posting pics of your roses when they are in bloom!

Hi everyone, reading on this forum since months and finally found the courage to post 🙂. Due to the forum I have already removed my wood chips , feeding the roses additional with potash . ( learning every day)
Quick introduction , I ‘m Belgian and live in a small village close to Antwerp. I’m totally new into roses and have planted In november some bare roots.
All climbers because i have a large ‘shed’ to cover.
I have a pink wall that needs to go up towards 5 meter , and a more orange crème selection on another wall.( 2m50)
Pink cloud
Guirlande rose ( 2) Maria Lisa - rambler Ghislaine de feligonde ( 2) Grets joy First buds are spotted and I can not wait for the first blooms . Although I did not anticipate any blooms this year.
I’m now also looking for a climber for an arch , but the climber needs to be capable to deal with some shade of large trees ( in the late afternoon) , but I have the patience to wait until the bare root season. The wishlist . Thornless Scented repeater Large blooms Is on the same garden side as the orange , crème wall so preferable soft in colour. Crème, yellow , soft pink, apricots...Mortimer sackler drew my attention here on the forum but is maybe already too pink ?Wollerton hall but Lens advised me that it is really a rose that is not fit for partial shade. Although DA states otherwise...
Impressionist of Heirloom but not clear if it is a repeater ..
I Will post some pictures of the roses when I know how to post pictures in the right direction and not upside down...
@omori yes it’s still young.. it’s the 3rd yr. I was worried the branches crossing and thinking to cut it off. Luckily I posted it here first before further silly damage the poor plant 🙏🙏🙏
I cut my Ena off at the ankles to try and reset it and get more than one cane. It was a risk, but she is growing back strongly. I might even get flowers this year.
My red roses seems to have redder foliage. Maybe that is a coincidence in the roses I have. Ena has beautiful dark leaves.

A less than clear picture of my first rosa Crimson Glory, just opened this morning. It smells amazing.

@edhelka I was thinking places with volcanic ash etc are always so fertile, maybe it might help give a boost...
@Marlorena I hear thunder rolling in here…always kind of exciting.
My lilac isn't showing much sign of life ☹️ I had rescued it from Lidl and it was so fragrant ☹️
