phew! it’s hot outside. I went for little walk because I feel guilty for not doing any exercise. I’ve dragged leftovers out of the freezer, so an easy tea tonight.
Hubby was mowing grass with the ride-on mower and one of the blades came off. So, now he’s on his back in the shed trying to sort it out. Ā

@Busy-Lizzie Ā A difficult time for you at the moment. Ā These anniversaries seem to come around much too quickly. Ā
If your local library is doing books on order, maybe they will take your english books as mine does. Ā My library is on a limited budget Ā so are happy to increase their language section. Ā The City Council should be able to advise. Ā They may even send someone to collect them. Ā I saw a post on FB, Ā where someone had left a pile of books on a park bench for people to take. Ā We also have here, book "huts" where you can leave books for people to take. I hate throwing books out too.
Warm here in Beziers with 20°C days, but the weekend is cloudy and the sky a steely grey.  Still no rain.
Have a pleasant Sunday everyone despite the conditions.

Morning all/afties, evening @Pat E. Way too hot for me where you are! Be careful doing much in thatĀ  though.Ā
I became quite practised at moving house. Had to do it about 6 times in a few years, under great duress. Thankfully, I've escaped that situation. You'll get there @Busy-Lizzie The memories aren't in physical 'things', and they really don't matter. The memories are in your head, and will stay there - always.Ā  :)
More gale force winds here overnight, but I managed to sleep well enough through it. The rain wasn't quite so heavy, and that's what's so noisy when it batters the windows. Sky's black and leaden though. Not sure if anything will get done outside. I planted a couple of things yesterday, and did some rearranging of pots. Always good to have something to look at out of the window.Ā  :)

  • Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
stay in the cool @Pat E.Ā
I’ve only just woken 🄱 maybe it was windy here? Ā I dreamt about roping things down in the garden
... apparently we’ve got a lovely little summerhouse out there that I’ve never seen 🤣
it’s not windy here now, but it is jolly wet 🌧
Did I tell you OH has put the bluetit box back on the ash tree trunk, Ā and has put some new boxes up ... a couple of Gt tit boxes, another blue tit box and a couple of wren/Robin ones have been hidden in the honeysuckle and clematis.Ā

    Morning all,

Miserably wet here this morning but some loon has requested that we do a track session this morning :oĀ

Doesn't look like any mooching around the garden is likely but at least there is a bit of footy on TV and the Masters (golf) to occupy me.

Hello Forkers!Ā  It is mild here but very dark, grey, wet and breezy.Ā  Ā The chooks will be enjoying the polytunnel then.Ā  Ā No gardening for me tho it should clear up this pm and I may go out and plant some comfrey in a new "fertiliser" bed in the potager.

@Pat E can you not just pinch out the tops, squish the aphids or leave them for local birds?Ā  Ā It's what I do.

Difficult times for you @Busy-Lizzie but needs must and it does have both an end date and a goal so "courage" as they say round here.Ā  Ā As @Fairygirl says, the important memories are in your head.

Have a good Sunday everyone and hugs to those who need them.

Morning all. A big surprise to see it's sunshine and blue skies outside. Was expecting heavy rain and gale force winds. It was very windy during the night so perhaps it's all blown over now. Daughter got back home safely after a foul journey. Spending the day doing mortgage applications - great joy. Maybe a little bit of gardening later on if it stays dry.
