My very best wishes to Hosta, Punkdoc and Dove for her brother. They’re  in my thoughts often.

  • Back again,

All paperwork scanned, desk clear and new document folders ordered to try and stay ahead and organised in future. Best laid plans...we'll see.

Dinner party booked too - I'm not convinced it'll look it's best after transportation but they insisted it'll be fine.

I hope your 'little' brother will improve soon @Dovefromabove, obviously a great worry. 🙁
Sorry to hear @Hostafan1 feeling a bit down too, sending a big hug, I've been on the receiving end of lots of Hosta hugs so happy to return the compliment. 🤗

Glad you're feeling a bit brighter @punkdoc, it's little steps forward isn't it. As @Yviestevie says it's a bit of a battle everyday.

Hello @Liriodendron too, nice to see you popping in and a few others too.
@Biglad, I used to really like Paul Hollywood but then I feel he got a bit carried away with himself, believing in his own press as it were. Shame because he's very talented, I'm glad to hear he's settled down a bit @Obelixx
Unfortunately I haven't got the time to follow a series so have not got involved with Bake Off or SCD for the last few years. If we keep getting closed down like this maybe I'll have time again....

Right off out into the garden, my reward for sticking at paperwork to a conclusion. 😁

Hello to any I've missed too, have a good afternoon all.

Thanks @floralies.  I can get all the curry pastes at the Vietnamese shop, just never buy the yellow - so far.  I'm off to Leclerc in Luçon when I've had my post lunch coffee and will keep an eye out.

Well done for the paperwork marathon @D0rdogne_Damsel .  If you record them and FF the ads and crap, Bake Off and Strictly are only 45 mins plus a bit for the SCD results.  I'd have thought Bake Off was amust for you for new ideas and recipes.

How's the skip clearance going @Busy-Lizzie ?  Full now?

Well over half full @Obelixx, maybe 2 thirds. It's 20 cubic metres so pretty big. What a lot of rubbish there was in the lean to behind the garage. I must throw away old gardening gloves and fertiliser containers in the new house.

One person's rubbish is another's treasure @Busy-Lizzie . I must admit I skip surfed this morning and came home with a discarded garden hose pipe - I only need about a metre to connect to a water butt so am hoping it will do the job. Embarrassed my OH though who wanted to disown me. We probably need a skip ourselves, I do tend to hoard things that might come in useful.

Best wishes to all those that need them.

  • I agree @Lizzie27 about one person's rubbish is another persons treasure. Fantastic that you managed to find the hose nd make good use of it.

Well done @D0rdogne_Damsel with all your paper work. I always feel a very big sense of achievement when a food job like that is done. And relief.

Sending my love and best wishes to those who need them at the moment.

    Evening all.

Sorry to hear of some of the tough times people are having. Extra hard to keep positive at the moment, so hope you can dig deep 💚

  • Evening all,  we had torrential rain last night too. Volunteer day at Capel today mostly leaf clearing & weeding today but got to plant a couple of skimmias in the pm. Best wishes to all with issues to deal with.

The rose that my son gave to me for my birthday in June has decided to start to open. 👏👏. I’m very impressed.

I’ll have to dig out the label, and will send it later.  Very happy with the colour.
