  • Thanks @Obelixx ... we all have great faith in the NHS and know he’s in good hands ... but of course we’re all anxious about him. :/Ā

    Morning all,

We had overnight rain but not sure exactly how much. Inspection of the partially dug swamp suggests quite a lot :o It may be wishful thinking but it does look like, whilst the top layer is saturated, squelchy and I sink into it, a few inches down isn't that bad :)

I've watched Bake Off occasionally in the past. Daughter number 1 is a fan. However, Mr Hollywood does make the skin crawl somewhat so I've avoided this series.

Trouble is @steephill, vegetarian suet is usually palm oil so not for me.Ā  Ā I shall have to find some other solid fat I can shred or grate.Ā  Don't eat enough meat to have a traditional butcher relationship but could maybe ask the butcher at the SM.Ā  Got to love a suet dumpling too.

@Biglad - PH is not my favourite either but he's been a bit better this series and the two presenters have merrily extracted the Michael all along which has been fun.Ā  Ā prue leith doesn't stand any nonsense from him either.Ā

    Hi all

@Dovefromabove sorry your brother is not so well.
@Liriodendron, Hosta is a bit depressed at the moment, but is seeking help. Thanks for asking after me, I am a bit down at the moment, but starting to have some good days, so hopefully not a long term blip.

Morning all,Ā  Don't watch bake off or any other reality TV show, not my cup of tea.Ā  I've never heard of a Pond Pudding either and considering my sweet tooth I'm suprised that there are any puddings I've missed.
Quite a bright start to the day here.Ā  I've been out and planted the last of the bulbs.Ā  Everything is very wet so I've not done anything else.Ā  Lots of clearing up still to do especially regarding the roses but it can wait for another day when I'm feeling more energetic.Ā  The green bin is already full waiting for our last collection in a couple of weeks so there will be a lot of stuff to store over winter in bags or take to the tip.Ā  Not sure if it's open during lockdown.
Hope your brother improves soon @Dovefromabove

    Stay safe everyone.

Thanks @punkdoc.Ā  Always good to know you're ticking along, even if in low gear.Ā  Hope @Hostafan1 perks up soon.Ā Ā

OH is busy explaining some fancy Excel accounting procedure to Possum.Ā  Not my thing tho I expect it ought to be.Ā  Ā I shall go and get washed and dressed and get lunch ready so I don't do my SM run on an empty tum.

It's a tough time for those that suffer with depression, everyday seems a bit of a battle.Ā  This time of year is especially bad.Ā  Not looking forward to Jan at all.Ā  Might have to get the SAD lamp out.Ā  Keep challenging your negative thoughts folks.

Hello all, (hugs) needed all round this morning to everyone. Have just been to the SM for weekly shop, it was very busy and not a lot of social distancing going on. I managed to find garlic for planting in Gamm Vert, they have now re-stocked, so that's a job for tomorrow.
@Obelixx was it you that said you couldn't find Thai Curry Paste "Jaune"? They have it in Leclerc, I saw it today when I bought my Red Paste.
