Hello , watched Bake off last night , never heard of a Sussex Pond Pud , it’s long time since I had a Suet Pudding and that was meat basedĀ
Never seen an injected jelly either , the programme has been goodĀ

A good clear out there @ Busy-Lizzie, hopefully my daughter will be doing the same soon.Ā  Keep meaning to ask you how the purchase of your property is going?

This bush is looking very splendid at the moment - a cornus siberica. OH took the pic this morning for me.

Contracts have been exchanged, at least the French Compromis de Vente have been signed and completion is due on 7th January @Lizzie27

That's good @Busy-Lizzie, I knew your current house completion is due Jan 7th but hadn't heard about your new home much. Fingers crossed.

The owners of the house I am buying have kindly agreed to let the removers start delivering from the 5th January as they will have already moved and I have to be out of this house by the afternoon of the 7th.

I can picture the chooks having fun in the dirt, Obelixx. 😃
Our predicted overnight rain didn’t appear, but watching the clouds today. Hmmm.Ā

Hubby has been chipping Patterson’s curse and while down there took a photo of my crab apples. Hooray, I might get enough to make crab apple jelly this summer ( if the parrots don’t get to them first). 🤬

We had a brief shower of rain a few minutes ago and then it was gone. Not sure how much more we’ll get, but the whole place could do with some moisture.Ā

Thanks Dove. Yes my jelly is very tasty, especially on breakfast toast. 😜

I dragged my old watercolour palette out today since I was in the mood for a little painting session. Nothing original, just colouring in. I grabbed one of Johanna Basford’s wonderful colouring books. Enjoyed myself enormously. Ā I’d forgotten some of the colours I’d previously mixed on the palette, so it was great fun exploring again.Ā

  • Morning all

    Those crab apples look lovely.

Slight cloud here you can see sky above which is lovely. All week it has been murky and foggy here. I have not been out yet so cannot comment on the temperature.

Lovely strong cup of tea is being drunk whilst on here and gmtv is on in the background.

@GWRS I watched Bake off yesterday. I have to tape it as Mr Purple Rose does not like it. He watches me baking at home. He doesn't want to watch strangers baking and he cannot sample afterwards. I really do not know how he comes up with his ideas šŸ™„ I have never heard of a pond pud (although looks delish) the jelly art was amazing.
