  • I can commiserate @D0rdogne_Damsel ... I frequently wake like that at 2:22 😯 no idea why, except that OH says that it seems most likely to happen when I’ve had a glass of wine or a G&T in the evening ... and I’ve a horrid feeling he’s right 😭

    Morning all,

    I can but dream @D0rdogne_Damsel :D

Bit breezy at the minute but no rain for the time being. Might sneak a bit of pottering in before sitting down at my desk for the day :(

    Morning all/afties, evening @Pat E.
Never good when you don't sleep well @D0rdogne_Damsel . The current situation definitely won't be helping. Lovely that the fish and chip night is so popular.
The first series of B'adder was pants, but they were great once Ben Elton got involved, although I don't like him. The last episode was hilarious and moving in equal measure. Older fairylet loves it too, and I bought the Phormium 'Blackadder' for her as a little joke, when we moved here.
No pottering outside today, which is why I tried to get plants in yesterday. The forecast was accurate. Gales and rain, and to be like that all day.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Phew, it’s very humid and warm this afternoon. Just had our dinner and flopping in front of tv. Doors open.
Our neighbours have been racing to make hay before the expected storm tonight.

Hopefully, it’ll cool things down for the humans. 😃

  • Another grey dull start here,  I didn't have a very good night last night either.  Unusual for me but it's very mild again.  Did a lot of cutting down of Dahlias and the annual cutting flowers on the plots yesterday. Frost has got to them.

    Morning all.
I need to do the annual netting of the pond today as the large Acer next to it is about to drop it’s leaves. It is one of the last trees to do so. It’s a faff of a job but it will prevent many of the leaves falling in the pond where they would decay and disrupt the balance for the fish.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Hard to imagine warm and humid @Pat E :o

Think we've got some nasty stuff on the way. Done my bit in the garden which Otis came to inspect.

I'd swear a Robin came and stood by me whilst I just went outside to observe the silence. Little bit of grit blew into my eye.
