It may be one for another popular thread, but they shouldn't really be passing hairspray to each other @Obelixx

We have a very funny weather presenter on the Scottish news @Obelixx. Sean Batty. He has quite an unusual hairstyle  :D
I found it [Roadkill]  a bit odd. I think it's partly Hugh Laurie. I keep waiting for him to say 'what ho Blackadder'  or something  ;)
I can recommend a very good Skandi drama - DNA, which is on just now. BBC4, but you'd need to download as it's almost finished.
We reckon daughter had it early on @punkdoc, but of course - no testing then. They were very efficient.

    Agree about the hairspray @Biglad.

Never watched Blackadder after the first attempt @Fairygirl so don't have pre-conceptions about Hugh Lawrie.   Can't download UK TV here but I can record it.  Had to google Sean Batty and Owain has a similar quiff but swept to the other side and a bit higher.

I've been watching the first episode of Roadkill tonight. Not sure yet whether I like it.
@Fairygirl here is a 'green boak faced' emoji, it should copy and paste

I thought the first series of Blackadder was terrible @Obelixx. It definitely improved as it went on.

Just watching Summer On The Farm for inspiration with my 2021 fruit and veg growing :)

  • Liver was a favourite in our house growing up. It was the only time I got away with having a different tea than everyone else in the house. I had a conversation with my mum the other week about it as they were having it for tea and she told me it depends on the type of liver it is. I obviously have not found one I like. Not that I want to go sampling different recipes.

Blackadder was a favourite when I was a teenager @Fairygirl I cannot remember what night it was but Blackadder and Red Dwarf were on TV one after the other. I and another girl used to run upto our friends house which was up our road in our Pjs. We would have hot chocolate while they were on then we would  run back down the street home. When I hear the Blackadder theme tune, it takes me right back.

@Fairygirl I am glad that your daughter had a negative test.

    Good night @Dovefromabove

Hello you chatty lot. I’ve had a few laughs at some of your tales. I like all kinds of beans, but can’t bear liver. Hubby likes it, but has to wait until we eat at a restaurant to get any. 😩  I try not to over-season our meals. I do add a sprinkle of Sumak to many foods though. Not a fan of chilli etc. as most foods that are strongly flavoured have MSG in them naturally. Even tomatoes. I can’t have a bowl of tomato soup. Can manage a few slices in salad etc though.

Our weather is heating up, but still have rain predicted in between.

A couple of the self-seeded sweet pea plants that I rescued last winter and put in pots in the green house, have now started to flower. I always like getting a scent as I walk past.

Lovely that your daughter is cleared Fairy.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    I slept like a log 🥱

  • Morning @Dovefromabove, @Pat E and all who follow.

I wish I could sleep like a log, really struggling at the moment. I go to bed early, well before 10pm, read for a while, drop off ok, but then around midnight wake up, ever so hot, and am really struggling to get back to sleep properly. I've got a light duvet, I have the window open, I've bought a new pillow, I'm not even fretting over anything, it's awful. I ended up reading for another couple of hours last night until about 3am. I nearly got up and made a cake! 😱

Luckily I'm not having to work set hours under pressure, although I am 'working'. I spent hours on paperwork yesterday, I hate it, but in the end was pleased with what I achieved and hopefully my new 'system' will make it more efficient moving forwards. 🤞

I'm making a Birthday Cake & delivering it today and now have 25 booked for Fish and Chips on Friday evening. 😁

Over the weekend I am really going to get down to some serious work in the garden, cutting back giant hedges, perhaps that'll help with sleep. 🙄

Glad little Fairylet is ok @Fairygirl

Nice to hear from you @punkdoc. 🙂

@Biglad, is that big, strong muscles in you're feeding up, rugby player physique? 😊

Anyway, good day to all, catch up later.
