Liver @PurpleRose. Where's that 'green boak faced' emoji when you need it. Another childhood food that's scarred me for life. My mum always had to make sure meat was thoroughly cooked through, and then another half hour just to be sure Managed a bit of planting and suchlike while it was reasonably dry. Bit smirry but nothing heavy. Tomorrow looks like being out of the question for anything. Daughter got her result, and fortunately it was negative. Hurrah! Just a snotty cold. I can go to the shops safely if I need anything...well, reasonably safely. Other one won't have to stay off work either, so that's good. Dave must be getting plenty of rations over the road - I see they've filled their feeders. He actually left some of his lunch. Roast on here for tonight, and some ham on for soup. Had to miss doing the roast yesterday due to our sudden 'trip'.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
We had a pair of Dave's on a nest in the rafters of my potting barn but nothing came of it. Started too late I think. They tend not to come and feed but the collared doves are regulars and increasing in numbers. No idea where they nest tho.

@Obelixx I'm not sure if this is suitable but roasted Yeast Flakes have been mentioned recently on some of the cookery progs. They add an Umami flavour apparently- note not dried yeast you do not want it fermenting! Good news @Fairygirl, we had similar back in September I thought it was just a cold but as part of the Covid symptom tracker study we were tested & negative too.
Thanks folks. I had to laugh at the remark I heard today saying that most testing areas were within about three miles. Not here they aren't! The next nearest is where she was at Uni - in town, so not convenient either, and a walk in one too. Glad it was fine for you too @Allotment Boy. Has anyone watched that Hugh Laurie thing - Roadkill? Good cast, but some clunky dialogue and the inevitable cliches. Can't make my mind up about it at all.

We watched it @Fairygirl. Good acting, but fairly predictable was our view. Glad fairylet is ok. I might be wrong, but finally testing seems to be improving.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Thanks @Allotment Boy but I doubt very much if I'll find yeast flakes here. The French are very traditional aka unadventurous in their cooking. I have to make special trips to get anything other than bog standard oriental ingredients. I have to go 100km for some Indian ingredients such as gram flour.
I like lamb's liver done in strips too @Dovefromabove and cooked pink, Venetian style, or chicken livers cooked pink and served with crispy lardons for a warm salad. Don't like pig or beef liver tho and even tho calves' liver is from pasture raised animals so OK here, it is exceedingly expensive.
We've recorded Roadkill @Fairygirl but not yet seen it. Too busy doing other stuff.
