Just seen them @AuntyRach - lovely bit of crafting.
Possum and I have done our first bit of doggy and hen training which went better than expected and then, since I'd already got her outdoors, I dragged her out to do walkies in the late afternoon sun and she enjoyed herself. Good. Walking is definitely good for the blues.
Forecast is for soggy tomorrow so OH can do walkies.

Our sunny spell has come to an abrupt end with heavy rain and wind. Daughter is coming home on the M5 and has just said it is foul out there. She might turn off at Bridgewater and come across country. Hope she's ok. Earlier in the week I had contacted the Council to report that the narrow country lane we use to get to the local shops was regularly flooded right across whenever it rained because the nearest drain was choked with mud. It had been like that for well over a year. To our amazement, we found this morning that it had been cleared and the road was passable. Why on earth didn't I complain before!
I don't like November either @Busy-Lizzie because I lost my father on the 28th and sad that this year I won't be able to pay my respects at the Cemetery. You're doing so well with the house clearing though I am full of admiration. The hearts were a lovely idea @AuntyRach and I'm sure much appreciated.
@Busy-Lizzie, I am thinking of you, even under normal circumstances that kind of house move is emotionally charged, you're doing a fantastic job and there's nothing wrong with a little sadness over it all. Come spring, with a new home and garden and reunited with OH life will be so much better, just a bit of a hurdle to get over in the meantime. If there's anything I can do, ( probably not) I'd be happy to help, just ask, I'm only an hour away.
Unfortunately, my evening meal has been postponed until tomorrow evening, someone is sick. Luckily the casserole won't suffer for it, but I deliberately didn't get too dirty or carried away in the garden because I knew I had that to deal with later. Enjoying a 'sundowner' now having switched the casserole off. Good evening all.

Thank you @Yviestevie, @Lizzie27 and @D0rdogne_Damsel. I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped with the skip. Found the garden tractor was almost out of diesel and the can was empty and I needed it to pull the trailer to collect the rubbish from the cave at the other side of the house. Went to the village to buy diesel, milk and fresh veg, post a letter, buy some bottled gas for the heater and go to the paper bins. Then daughters rang, then had to get the washing in and the afternoon was gone.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Another washout in terms of the garden and OH put the order in for a curry so I've been busy in the kitchen instead. Choice of broccoli and celery korma and/or sweet potato and pepper jalfrezi, pilau rice, veggie samosas, onion bhaji, naan bread and poppadoms to start (with mango chutney). I'm going to try and make the samosas, chutney and bhajis myself at some point. Feels like half cooking and half (c)heating at the moment
We’re up and about, but not looking forward to being in the garden - 28 degrees predicted😡
I might muck about inside for the next day or so.
I noticed yesterday that there are black aphids having a feed on my broad bean plants. I checked my supply of aphid treatment stuff, but its pretty old. Looks like a visit to town garden shop tomorrow.

Take care all, especially those with worries and blues.
