Good morning. It's very calm and misty here and warm too. Should be sunny later and tomorrow but Sunday looks filthy if the forecast is right. Laundry, ironing and cleaning for OH and me and then I get to go and clean out the chooks. They are very messy and like to strew their straw bedding all over. Want to encourage them to explore outside their pen too now we have gates at the potager entrance.
No Beeb radio news here and I've given up watching the London and South East version as it's just too depressing and self important too. Have switched to North West - grew up there - and, despite all the Tier 3 stuff, it's much better and has the lovely Owain for weather.
Hope you get a good call @Biglad and that your visit has gone well @Pat E and the oncologist is happy. Enjoy your walk @Fairygirl . Hope everyone else is OK. Hugs for those feeling blue or poorly or just utterly p*ssed off.

The visit to the Oncologist was ok. Hubby’s blood results have dropped a bit on the new medication which is what was supposed to happen. Would have been happier if it had been lower, but we have to go with the flow, as it were. Next visit in 2 months.
Fairy, yes that show did have a bloke as well who was an architect I think. They certainly got around. NZ, Holland, Switzerland and Greece. Strange houses though. I’m not sure I’d like to live in any of them though.
Hope hubby is ok though @Pat E? Yes - probably the same programme. I can't remember an awful lot about it, but some of the houses were unusual! I like seeing all sorts of different styles - it's enjoyable saying 'like that', 'that's hideous' etc Nice walk thanks @Obelixx, and even two runners who moved out of my way for a change. I've marked the day on the calendar.... The chooks will enjoy a bit of 'free ranging'. It's lovely. What a nice happy ending for them, if you know what I mean. I'm with you @steephill, but hope it went well for you @Biglad, even if it's a slightly poisoned chalice. I was wondering where Dave was, but he's just appeared. Lunchtime. No fool like an old fool...that's me, not Dave

Oh dear ... it seems I was right ... we have lost our lovely neighbour across the way.
I’ve had a long phone call from Bro ... he will be going into hospital in the next couple of weeks for an exploratory op/biopsy on his chest cavity wall. It seems that he may have two different types of cancer at once ... one affecting his adrenal glands and lymph nodes, the other in his bowel.

B***er @Dovefromabove. I really hope all goes well for your brother. That's horrible news, but - better to get it checked and have treatment, than not have it. Sorry about your neighbour too. We lost an elderly lady earlier this year - at the same time as Joyce [on the forum] she'd lived here a long time. I knew her a little when I lived here before.

I think th echooks are settling well @Fairygirl. I always say hellos as I approach their pen and now, instead of running away they run towards me. Touch of Pavlov tho as I nearly always have treats for them to peck at. We'll see how it goes this pm when they're let out to explore further.
Good job we have a big garden and chooks to entertain us as we are limited to 1 hour of exercise at no more than 1km distance form the house till December 1st. And then a review!
Glad the news is good @Pat E. i've seen that programme too. Some of th ehouses are ingenious and some really interesting but I have yet to see one that felt livable in - you know, pets, clutter, hoomans feeling cosy. Chappy also does one with another presenter about the £100,000 house build/upgrades and they can be odd too but clever.

Don't suppose big sisters ever stop feeling just a bit responsible for them.
I expect that's true Good entertainment @Obelixx - and you may well need that. 1k seems very restrictive, but if that's the rule, so be it. If everyone just sucked it up - everywhere, followed the guidelines, it would be easier to see what works and what doesn't. A round of your large estate will be at least that
