Night all. Now that the time change has occurred in UK, we’ve got 11 hours to fill in. 😡

    Night night @Pat E

It’s the luck of the draw @Obelixx ... in the earlier rounds there were some weeks when I hardly knew any. 😊

    I can't cope with her @steephillso I had to switch off :D
I think it was a repeat though - I'm sure they've done that before, but might be wrong.
Now - you're exaggerating - we do get sun sometimes. We just don't like telling lots of folk - or there'll be even more of them appearing.... ;)
Managed a dry walk again. I think I'll just wear the waterproof trousers every day and that'll keep the rain away for a while.
Missed your post there @Obelixx -that soup will be good. I agree - nice fabric for a wee girl. Mine are a bit old now  ;)

Afternoon all,  Sorry to hear about your friend @Allotment Boy he obviously had a big impact on you and the other allotment gardeners.  Unfortunately Gabriel was taken into hospital again with his usual breathing problems this morning.  I know he is in the best place but I hate the thought of him being so poorly.  Secondborn did catch it a bit earlier this time so we are hoping he wont be in for long.
I've been out in the garden all morning, trying to take my mind of things, planting up pots with bulbs, violas and carex.  We also put the obelisks back together that we removed when we erected the rose arch.  Will have to decide where to put them and what to grow up them.
The cannas, agapanthus and tender salvias have been cut back and put to bed in the greenhouse.  There is still loads of tidying up to do but I feel as though I am on top of things now.

I'm so sorry @Yviestevie - you've had a horrible time. Always worrying when it's little 'uns too, no matter how reassured we are that they're in the right place to have problems dealt with. At least you've been able to be busy outdoors for a while.

I'm just hoping he grows out of it like his mum @Fairygirl

Fingers crossed @Yviestevie. These things often seem to work like that don't they?  :)

I hope he does too @Yviestevie.  Nobody needs extra worries at the mo but sounds like you have an excellent system for distracting yourself.

The wet has arrived and, oddly, with a teeny bit of the storm they warned us might come with.   Just one very long, very bright fork of lightning followed by the loudest clap of thunder.  Made Possum and me jump and poor old Bonzo dived under the table, trembling.

I've just been down to check on the chooks and they were standing in the doorway muttering about rain.   I've moved their rain cover closer to the door and given them some fresh slices of courgette.   Happy chooks but no eggs.  We get just 1 or 2 a day at the mo but that's no surprise given the season.

I expect they'll be well settled by next year @Obelixx. I love the fact that they're muttering about rain  :)
It's gone a bit quiet here so I wonder if the rain's coming in. I put a little bit of washing out, and it's had a right good skelp from the wind.
I might try and cut down the other pot of sweet peas. They've had a bit of a battering, but they're still attached to the bench so that's always a bonus :D

Did a couple of hours outside in the sunsheeiine. Very nice but not quite sitting out weather ;)

Still a few pea pods developing so I've got two planters and part of a veggie bed that I can't quite clear yet. There is an orderly queue forming :)
