I've cleared out one of the two dining room side boards as Son 1 is having it. He is coming tomorrow evening with a van, loading up and driving back to his place on Friday, 5 hour drive then coming back here in his car on Saturday. His wife and 3 little girls will be coming in her car tomorrow afternoon.

Then on Saturday Daughter 2 is coming with her family to see what size van she will need and to see her brother. We are supposed to be limited to 6 in the home, but it isn't compulsory. We'll be 5 adults, don't know if the children count. President Macron never mentions children, he hasn't any, wife is too old.

That sounds a bit complicated @Busy-Lizzie, but at least the furniture problem will be diminishing.
Enjoyed the GC trip, a much bigger one (Dobbies) than we have round here. My friend adores Xmas shopping and ended up with 3 carrier bags full to my (small) one. Picked up 3 boxes of charity Xmas cards but don't need any other stuff. Endured a horrible cloudburst on tricky hills driving home, not nice at all - some drivers still didn't put lights on. Toothache getting worse so glad to have appointment tomorrow am - I think!

Morning folks, I was looking for the "Are you awake", cannot find it, I am, got up and gave up with my book, about half hour ago, but couldn't find the light I read by.  It's my Birthday, so desided to open the cards, not one from my eldest son which is unusual.  Friend came round yesterday, asked what I was "doing" for my Birthday, er, nothing, I don't normaly do!  Usual Hubby would be at work anyway, but he finnished the last week in August, and then the nearest Friday we would go off to "our" carvery, but it is not open at the moment.  I know what I have got, asked for books, apart from gardening, that's my "thing" reading, off to do some now.  I do like a good murder!!  Haha, beat you finally, Dove, That's MY Birthday present!

    Morning you two ... happy birthday @Nanny Beach 🥳 🎂 🎁
    Enjoy your day @Pat E 😊
ive been woken by activity at the house opposite ... lights all on and an ambulance outside ... the couple who live there are in their 80s, but although he’s had some health problems theyre very active ... they were out in the car earlier today (well yesterday but you know what I mean) ... hope it’s nothing too bad 🤞
Now the very bright floodlights on the ambulance have been switched off ... I think I’ll try to get back to sleep 😴

    Morning all,

That unwanted drama doesn't bode well, d-fab. Hope your neighbours are ok.

Have a good day @Nanny Beach. B'days normally pass me by but, I must admit, the recent 'landmark' one was very well observed all things considered.

  • Morning all,

Happy birthday @Nanny Beach, I love a good murder too. 😁

I do hope your neighbours are ok @Dovefromabove and you get to catch up on your sleep.

Enjoy your son's visit - and the cat @Pat E, didn't know cats travelled well, mine howl just going 5 minutes to the vets. 🙀

    Hello @Biglad, does that mean you've reached 27? 😁😁

Up early cos we're off on our hols today....so looking forward to a break from work, despite the difficulty getting organized to be away. Hope I can relax properly.

Hello @Hostafan1 if you're lurking around, hope all went well yesterday. Hug 🤗 to you.

    Good day to all. 😁
