    Good morning.   Not such an exciting night after all - 2 lemon tree pots blown over and the table base in the hen pen.   It's an alumunium frame to which I'd attached a sheet of corrugated perspex to be a rain cover for the chucks.   Temporary measure cos in the long run they'll have access to the whole potager and the polytunnel when it's wet.

    It's bright and sunny at the mo but the sky was pink to the west which can't be good and now there's lots of very black stuff closing in.   I suspect @floralies and @Papi Jo have had loads more rain and wind than we have at their ends of the country.

    We had to buy a new freezer shortly after moving here because the seal went on one and spares could not be bought.   Only about 10 years old so not impressed.   Hope you can fix yours @Hostafan1

    I managed 9 hours @Dovefromabove but I did take some knee meds when we got back from dancing so I didn't wake up with it throbbing.

    Beginning to think we may need a half hour burst of heat in the mornings @Fairygirl.  Or maybe just some leg warmers under my fetching winter kaftan.

    Have a good day everyone whatever the weather.  I'm off to the SM for the weekly raid then sewing my way thru a wet weekend.

    @Obelixx
    I mentioned yours to the engineer who was here yesterday, but , mercifully new seals are still available.

    I have that in a corner @Pat E. It's starting to fill out now. Taken a few years, but only to be expected. The other planting around it is sacrificial, but most  of it will still be able to do it's thing.  :)
    Glad you've not had too much disruption @Obelixx, although it sounds like it may still appear.
    The moon was beautiful here last night in the clear sky. The frost is starting to melt a bit now that the sun's getting onto it. Washing to go out, then I'm off.
    Have a good day everyone, despite the weather if it's dodgy. Catch you all later

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all, opened the curtains to see a doleful doe staring back at me. It is very wet out there, I think this is Storm Alex first of the winter.

    it’s a bright and breezy morning here ... we’re planning a day out ... not sure where ... might have fish & chips on the prom or might come back and get some delivered ... 🤔
